Alligare MSM 60 Herbicide works primarily as a post emergent in which there are no dormancy restrictions regarding the turfgrass. This product does offer some pre emergent control in which best results for preventing seed germination are obtained when applied to foliage after emergence or dormancy break. If trying to control pensacola bahiagrass in established Bermudagrass pasture: You will apply after green-up in the spring but before the bahiagrass seedhead formation. 
 
For temperature restrictions when using a MSM herbicide, do not apply to turf under stress from drought, insects, disease, cold temperatures, high temperatures of above 85
