    Q
Will Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Flower and Vegetable Garden Dust work on Squash vine borer?
    A

Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Flower and Vegetable Garden Dust is labeled for worms on winter squash.  It might kill them if they ingest it but this type of pest is generally treated with a topical kill insecticide.  We would recommend using Fertilome Triple Action for squash vine borers. This product is an insecticide, fungicide and miticide all in one. This can be used up until the day of harvest.

    Q
Will Captain Jack's flower and vegetable garden dust kill the white grubs I have in my garden soil?
    A
This product is not labeled for grubs and would not be the appropriate product to use with how you must treat the soil for grubs. A product that would be safe to treat the soil in your garden would be the Fruit Tree & Vegetable Systemic Soil Drench. Grubs are on this label and your harvest interval after application is going to vary from 7-21 days so be sure to read the product label to see which applies to your vegetables. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Does Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Flower and Vegetable Garden Dust negatively affect pollinators such as bees?
    A

Per the product label, Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Flower and Vegetable Garden Dust is toxic to bees exposed to treatment for 3 hours following treatment. Do not apply this pesticide to blooming, pollen-shedding or nectar-producing parts of plants if bees may forage on the plants during this time period. This product is toxic to aquatic invertebrates. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area.
