    Q
Catalyist vs. Orthene PCO Pellets for outdoor perimeter for roaches.
We have a neighbor in the next house that developed a bad roach infestation. We had a professional company come out to exterminate fives times since June 1, 2010. They treated four times with Demon WP inside and out. While it made a difference, we just couldn't get rid of them.I even used some Demon WP a couple times. On the fifth time out, the owner of the company came to spray, and he sprayed a large portion of the property, and promised we would not see another roach after two weeks. He even put bait in the kitchen cracks. I asked what was used, and he said Catalyst. It has been two weeks, and not one roach seen dead or alive. So, here is the question. Is Catalyst anymore effective than the Orthene PCO pellets for roach invasion prevention? The main reason I ask is because of some cost difference between the products.I would prefer a product that can be sprayed on some grass.
    A
According to the product label, Catalyst can only be used indoors and cannot be used in residential structures at all. We do not think Catalyst would be an appropriate choice for you. Orthene PCO pellets can be used indoors and outdoors for roach control. When using Orthene outdoors for roach control, it  is only labeled to be sprayed to a band of soil 6 to 10 feet adjacent to the structure, also to a height of 2 to 3 feet on the foundation where pests may be active or may find entrance. Orthene PCO cannot be sprayed out in the yard.
