    Will Catt Plex kill American pond weed?
    A

    Catt Plex is not labeled for American pond weed.  We would recommend SePRO Sonar RTU Aquatic Weed Herbicide is a specially formulated aquatic herbicide that’s designed to help control troublesome weeds in ponds.   It’s very easy to use, simply pour it directly into the water from the shoreline without the need for boat or spray equipment and it also doesn’t require any mixing. There are NO fishing, swimming, livestock and pet consumption restrictions for Sonar RTU.

    How much Catt Plex to use depends on the target weeds. you will use anywhere from 1 oz up to 10 1/4 oz per gallon of water per the product label.

    Will Catt Plex kill only the cattails that are directly treated or will it also kill other cattails in the areas surrounding?

    Catt Plex will only kill the cattails that are sprayed directly, this will not control or prevent regrowth from submerged weeds. Repeat treatments may be necessary to control weeds regenerating from underground parts or seed. 

    Page 14 of the product label for Cattails: For broadcast applications, apply 4 ½ to 6 pints per acre as a broadcast spray or at a ¾% solution with handheld equipment (Refer to the chart on page 9). 

    For best results, applications should be made as a broadcast application or spot treatment with the addition of a Non Ionic Surfactant for best results in accordance with the product label.

    Will Catt Plex kill black lilies and is this safe for horses?
    A
    Catt Plex will treat weeds in the water lily family and is safe for people, pets, livestock, fish, birds, irrigation, consumption, and swimming. It is recommended to follow the label instructions prior to applying. You will NOT want to treat the entire pond at once because this will cause oxygen depletion and may kill the aquatic life. Treat 1/2 of the pond and wait two weeks and then treat the remainder

    How much Catt Plex is needed for a 4 acre pond?
    A

    The rate at which you apply Catt Plex Herbicide will depend on the target weeds. Please refer to the product label for your target weeds. The maximum application rate of 7 ½ pints per acre must not be exceeded in any single broadcast application that is being made over water

    Can Catt Plex be used to treat water primrose in a pond that cattle drink from?

     Catt Plex is completely safe for people, pets, livestock, fish, birds, irrigation, consumption, and swimming when applied as directed on the product label.

    Will this kill elephant ears that are in the water?
    We are on the River and have allot of vegetation with Lilly pads and elephant ears, that we want to get rid of.

    Catt Plex herbicide is not labeled specifically to control water lily/lily pads or elephant ears. However, keep in mind that this is a non-selective herbicide, so it could still suppress those plants. Imazacast Aquatic Herbicide is labeled for use on water lily and on wild taro (colocasia) in aquatic areas.
