Chamberbitter (mimosa) fescue lawn

We had a beautiful long until about A month ago when it started browning and then the Mamosa took over our entire backyard. What is the best way to get rid of it? Is there a way to get rid of it for good or do we need to keep applying something every year?

Answer:

GrazonNext HL Herbicide is not labeled for Chamberbitter nor can this be used in residential lawns.

Speedzone is labeled for Chamberbitter and safe for cool season turfgrasses such as Kentucky Blue Grass, Perennial Rye Grass, Tall fescue, Colonial Bentgrass and also warm season turfgrasses such as Common Bermuda and Zoysia.

Ferti-Lome Broadleaf Weed Control with Gallery is a pre-emergent that can be applied before weeds germinate to help control for the season.
