The Chapin 100-Pound Professional Spreader with Stainless Steel Frame does not include the edge control feature. The Chapin 8200A 80-Pound Residential Turf Spreader does.

Can this Chapin 8400C spreader be used for salt? What size are the openings at the bottom of the hopper?

Chapin 100-Pound Professional Spreader (8400C) can be used to spread salt. The opening on the bottom of the hopper is adjustable depending on the amount you need to apply per 1000 sqft.
