    Q
    Will CimeXa kill cluster flies?
I have an infestation of cluster flies and I am pretty sure they are gaining entrance at the windows. If I spray the dust in and around windows will it kill the cluster flies?
    A

CimeXa Insecticide Dust is not labeled for cluster flies, or any type of flies. We recommend using EcoVia WD as it is labeled for cluster flies. Please also take a look at our guide on How to Treat for Cluster Flies for information on other products that can be used and where they should be applied.

    Q
Can cimexa dust be mixed with drione dust?
If so, what is the ratio?
    A

While there wouldn’t necessarily be a reason to combine the two, you can do so safely. There is not an exact ratio but some customers do 50/50 of each dust when applying them.

We recommend using CimeXa Insecticide Dust when the heater is off, Cimexa Dust is not flammable, this is to avoid any dust from drifting into areas that cannot/should not be treating with an insecticide or insecticidal dust.

    Q
Can I mix Talstar P with a CimeXa Insecticide Dust water application?
I want to add Talstar P to CimeXa Dust in water mix, then spray on new construction wall voids before drywall install. Will that work and be effective?
    A

Talstar and Cimexa Insecticide Dust need to be applied separately. The Cimexa is so thick in the tank that it is recommended to spray it by itself. If you would like something to spray on the wood during construction, then you could use Tim-Bor or Bora-Care instead, which are designed specifically for use on raw wood.

    Q
Why after using Cimexa Dust does the infestation of bedbugs seem to worsen before killing them? Bedbugs
    A

It's fairly normal to see an influx of activity of bedbugs after treating with many insecticides including Cimexa Dust, since it can be painful to the insects and something they are trying to get away from. By doing so though, they actually get more chemical on them and it usually increases the speed at which you get rid of them. While every infestation level and response is different, its a common occurrence to experience more activity or see more/be bitten more the couple days following treatment.

Please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide for more information.

    Q
    Is CimeXa flammable?
I'm going to use it as a type of roach prevention since I'm in a large complex. I was wondering if it's safe to put in the water heater/furnace closet on the ground, around pipes and walls? When applying with a duster I don't want it to go into the furnace or water heater and catch fire while it settles. This is a small closet with a drain pipe for the ac also, and we have had previous problems with it leaking (another reason to put the dust around). Nothing is stored in this closet.
    A

No, CimeXa Insecticide Dust is not flammable. Please review the product label for application instructions.

    Q
Can CimeXa Insecticide Dust be used in the soil around houseplants in place of DE for fungus gnats in potted citrus trees?
I have Cimexa already, curious if I could carefully spread a tiny bit into the upper layer of soil around the plants to kill any gnats as they emerge or dig.
    A

CimeXa Insecticide Dust is not labeled for use on or around houseplants or landscaping, so we cannot recommend that application. You may consider using a ready-to-spray insecticide for fungus gnats such as Bonide Bon-Neem II.

    Q
Is pets were to breath CimeXa Insecticide Dust in, would they develop lung problems?
    A

Cimexa Insecticide Dust is pet safe when used as directed on the manufacturer's label.  Pets should be removed from the area being treated until the dust has settled.  If you are treating in wall voids, then the product should not come into contact with your dog.  If you are applying it to carpets for flea control, just make sure to rake the powder into the carpet with a broom, and vacuum up any excess dust that may still be sitting on the tops of the carpet.

    Q
Applied CimeXa Insecticide Dust to a recliner that had Clover Mites and it helped immensely however I am seeing dead ones in the recliner and wondering if my allergic reaction will ease up?
I spoke to a lady on the phone, an expert, who recommended Cimexa. This is a very old apartment complex and I believe they breed in the walls as my neighbors have same problem. I believe the treatment is working as I am just seeing dead clover mites. I am allergic so wondering if the dead ones stay in the furniture will my allergic reaction clear up?
    A

CimeXa Insecticide Dust is not labeled for applications to areas of upholstered furniture that come into direct contract with your body, but instead by removing or lifting the cushions and treating the undersurfaces of the furniture.  You can dust behind your walls, under your baseboards and behind outlet and switch plate covers for effective insect control as well.  We recommend vacuuming the surfaces of your recliner thoroughly to remove any dust or dead insects, and applying Steri-Fab Insecticide, which is a contact kill only that is labeled for applications to furniture and is safe for humans to come into contact with the treated area after it has completely dried.

    Q
How to clean up CimeXa Insecticide Dust that was applied all over the floors by the pest control company?
So I heard it's unsafe to vacuum without a HEPA filter because the particles can enter the air again is this true? also it's all over the floors. And tracked through the house by the pest control. Is it unsafe that we have stepped in it? What should I do to clean this up it seems to be on everything. As if he just sprayed the entire room (despite telling us he doubts we need treatment)
    A

CimeXa Dust should be applied as a crack and crevice treatment only indoors. If it is applied to rugs or carpeting, then the dust should be worked into the nap of the carpet using a stiff brush. If there is visible dust on hard surfaces, then you can wipe that up using a damp paper towel. Any contaminated personal items should be washed or rinsed since this can be a skin irritant.

You may call the hotline on the Safety Data Sheet with other concerns about contamination: 816-283-3167.

    Q
I have a two-story condo, would it be okay to drill whole into wooden subfloor and apply dust?
    A
We would not recommend drilling through your floors or subfloor to treat beneath them. There would be few occasions where that would be a proper treatment or needed for an insect. If you would like to tell us what pest or issue you are targeting, then we are happy to discuss treatment options with you.
