    Q
Is there any particular benefit in getting the XL Climb Up version rather than the standard sized one?
My bed doesn't have huge legs so I want to know if there is any reason for me to get the XL version. Does the XL capture more bugs, is it more durable, is it higher quality? Does it function differently in any way or require more maintenance? Or is the ONLY difference is the size and nothing else? That is the main question: is SIZE the ONLY difference between the two interceptors? Thanks in advance!
    A
The Climb Up XL version is not only bigger, but it is a much thicker, more durable plastic than the standard climb up.  The previous climb up had a tendency to crack when used on carpet with a heavy bed because on carpet there is not as much support as there is being on hardwood or concrete type floors.  The Climb UP XL is better to use on carpet because it provides better support for the bed posts, especially if they are thinner type posts.

    Q
is that an "each" price...how many are in a package
I know it would be silly for a company to sell an each (single) trap since all bed that I know of have legs. I just have to make sure the price is for a set of 4
    A
Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL are indeed sold by the each. The manufacturer decided to sell them individually.

We apologize, but we do not carry traps that large. The largest that we have at this time are the Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL, which measure 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches across in diameter.

    Q
I got the Climb-Up XL, should I use bed raiser, is so wood or plastic?
    A
As a precaution if carpeting is present in your home, the underside of the inner well on the
Climb-up Insect Interceptor XL may not have enough support to prevent it from breaking.  Cracking can be prevented over padded carpet by reinforcing with a 5”diameter rigid disk under the device, for example a 5” steel dock washer.

    Q
Is there adhesive in the pit of the Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL or are these reusable? How are the bugs trapped? How long do these traps last?
    A

There is no adhesive in the pit of the Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL. When the bed bugs are trying to climb up the post of the piece of furniture the interceptor is placed under, the smooth edges cause them to fall into the pit and makes it difficult for them to get out. Yes, the interceptors can be reused. Please take a look at the ClimbUp Insect Interceptor XL Directions for directions on reusage and re-lubrication.

    Q
Is there adhesive in the pit of the Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL?
Are these reusable? How does it trap the bugs?
    A

No, Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL doesn’t have any type of adhesive in the trap, and they can be reused. This product is a simple pitfall trap that can be placed under the legs and feet of couches and chairs, bed posts, or other posts and legs of furniture where people rest or sleep. Bed Bugs in other parts of the infested dwelling will travel in search of a blood meal and can be intercepted and trapped in the ClimbUp Interceptor as they attempt to gain access to the beds or other furniture that have the interceptor devices installed.

    Q
What happens when bed bugs climb into the Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL?
    A

The Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL works as a trapping device that allows bed bugs to climb into the trap but not climb out. The interceptors should be placed at the leg bas of beds, nightstands, and other furniture where bed bugs are suspected or seen. Bed Bugs use the legs to gain access to beds or other furniture in search of a blood meal so this is a great and inexpensive way to monitor infestations and keep a bed or couch from bed bugs.

** This is a montioring and trapping method for bed bugs and will not eradicate a bed bug infestation. View our Bed Bug Treatment Guide and Bed Bugs Kits for the most effective treatment methods.

I have a futon. The "legs" are 6 1/2" round. Will the Climb-Up Insect Interceptor XL work for this?
    A
We are not sure if you have given us the diameter or the circumference of the futon legs so we are not sure if the leg would fit. The Center Well where your the leg of your futon would sit in the ClimbUp XL is 5 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches across.
