    What is application rate per 1000 sq ft of Coastal Herbicide if using a 4 gallon backpack sprayer?
    A

    Coastal Herbicide 2.5 gal is applied at 64 fl oz per acre (minimum) to 113 fl oz per acre (maximum) per application. 

    This breaks down to 1.5 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft to 2.5 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft per application.

    How many ounces per acre of Coastal Herbicide for tank mixing?
    A

    The Coastal Herbicide  product label states "The use rates of this product range from 48 oz per acre up to the maximum rate of 64 oz per acre per application with a maximum of 113 fl.oz. per acre per year. Length of control duration, size and spectrum of weeds controlled post-emergence increase with the higher use rates. The use of a spray adjuvant is required to obtain post-emergence weed control (see Mixing Instructions). Mix the recommended rate of this product with water and apply in a spray volume of 10 to 40 gallons per acre."

    Should you water in Coastal Herbicide or let it dry?
    A

    The label for Coastal Herbicide 2.5 Gal states: For best results, applications should be applied prior to target weed emergence (except wild onion / garlic and sedges) followed by 0.25 to 0.5 inch of rain or irrigation within 1 - 2 weeks.

    What would be the split application on Coastal Herbicide for fall app on Bermuda grass?
    A

    For fall/winter applications, you will apply 64 oz. per acre ( Do not apply before September 15). You will mix the recommended rate of this product with water and apply in a spray volume of 10 to 40 gallons per acre. Do not apply more than 2 applications per year or 113 ounces total of Coastal Herbicide per acre per year.

    What adjuvants can be used with Coastal Herbicide 2.5 gal. for post emergent weed control?
    A

    For post emergent weed control using Coastal Herbicide, it is recommended to use a Crop Oil Concentrate or a Non Ionic Surfactant for best results.

    Can Coastal Herbicide 2.5 gal. be used on Florham St. Augustine in February?
    I applied Prodiamine 65 WDG last month.

    Can Coastal Herbicide be used on cool season lawns?
    A

    Coastal Herbicide 2.5 gal. is not labeled for cool season turf, only warm season lawns.

    Is Coastal Herbicide available is smaller sizes other than the 2.5 gallon?
    A

    Coastal Herbicide 2.5 gal has been discontinued by the manufacturer and not longer available.

    Surepyc IQ Herbicide could possibly be an alternative herbicide that contains Imazaquin and Sulfentrazone offering both pre and post emergent control of listed weeds on the product label.

    What is the mix rate of Coastal Herbicide per gallon of water if using a 4 gallon sprayer?
    A

    When applying Coastal Herbicide 2.5 gal. in January through March, the use rate is 48 oz. per acre. This is equivalent to 0.48 to a gallon of water per 1000 sq ft. Higher rates may be used if spring transition is at least 4 to 6 weeks away. Do not apply if spring transition is imminent or expected within 3-4 weeks unless delayed green-up and/or temporary yellowing can be tolerated.

    How much rainfall is needed to activate Coastal Herbicide in weeds?
    A

    Coastal Herbicide is to be applied prior to the germination of listed weeds on the product label (except wild onion, garlic & sedges) and followed by ¼ to ½ inch of rainfall or irrigation within 7-14 days from the initial application.
