am i trying to achieve the 4 gallons per 10 ft. like i would in a trench

Answer:

The volume will stay the same as in the trenching, you will just divide the solution among the drilled holes. For instance if you drilled one hole every 12 inches over a ten foot area you will apply .40 gallon (just under a 1/2 gallon) in each hole.
