    Q
do you need to sleep in the bedroom that’s being treated in order for it to work?
I was reading / studying as I am about to use crossfire & cimexa and came across a few comments that stated in order for a chemical treatment (crossfire) to work properly you should sleep in the room to attract the bed bugs so they don’t go looking for another host in another room. is this true?
    A
You can resume sleeping in the room where Crossfire has been applied, once it has completely dried.

Crossfire is only labeled for bed bugs. If you are looking for something to kill roaches, please take a look at our Roach Control Kit A. Each of the products in the kit will be needed to eliminate a roach infestation.  We also have a guide here that can help explain the treatment for roaches.

    Q
Does Crossfire kill bed bug eggs?
Does CrossFit kill bed bug eggs? We currently have no living bedbugs, but I am concerned there may be eggs in different places. I called a few exterminators to get a quote on a heat treatment, and one of them said that pesticides generally do not kill the eggs. Just wanting to verify this is true.
    A

Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate is labeled to kill bed bugs and bed bug eggs that you make direct contact with.

    Q
What is the reason that you cannot use Crossfire in ULV foggers?
Will the preparation be ineffective? Or, on the contrary, will it be dangerous for the applicant? Most biocidal pesticides are suitable for ULV foggers. The composition includes pesticides used by professional companies for ULV foggers.
    A

Unfortunately there is no way for us to know why manufacturers do not test products such as Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate to be fogged. Any time that you go off label, it will not give you the same results as if you've used it per the label. Keep in mind that manufacturers spend a lot of time & money to come up with rates/usage to give you the best perfomance from a product. Going against that will give you potential ineffective results

Will it work in my room if other tenants don't use Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate?
    Essential oils?
    A

Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate will only work in the rooms that it is sprayed. Unfortunately any other tenants dealing with bed bugs will continue to have them if they do not treat as it only kills those that contact a treated area.

  • Asked by Linda from Gadsden

    Q
The manufacturer states that Crossfire needs to be used is it within 24 hrs because the solution separates not 3 months?
    A

Any mixed solution of Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate should be used within 24 hours of mixing as it the active ingredient will start to breakdown and separate. The residual is different then how long the solution stays suspended in water. Applications of Crossfire should be reapplied every 30 days for active bed bug infestations even though Crossfire has shown to leave a residual on surfaces for a few after the initial application.

The shelf life of Crossfire in it's original concentrate form in the original container is 3-5 years from the manufacturered date.

In regards to pesticide disposal, the product label of Crossfire states,

Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Fill the container 1/4 full with water and recap. Shake for 10 seconds. Pour rinsate into application equipment or a mix tank, or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. Repeat this procedure two more times, then offer for recycling, if available, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill or by other approved State or local procedures."

Just want too know if it will still work with the products I'm using please help just found these bed bugs never had them before
    A
We would not recommend overlapping Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate with any other products. We would recommend waiting 2 months before applying anything. In the meantime, we recommend following our bed bug guide & using steamers if you want something that will not interfere with the products you used.

    Q
Should everything be cleaned and wiped down after applying Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate?
    A

No, we recommend cleaning prior to the Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate application instead so that none of the residual is removed from the areas treated.

Per the product label, in the home, all food/feed processing surfaces and utensils should be covered during treatment, or thoroughly washed before use. Cover or remove exposed food/feed

  • Asked by Nia from Philadelphia, Pa

    Q
Will the residual from Crossfire last for a month on a metal frame?
    A

If treating for active bed bugs, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate should be reapplied every 7-10 days until you can go a full 30 days without seeing any signs of bed bugs. This product should not be used alone to treat for active bed bugs and best used along with Cimexa Dust to dust the cracks and crevices along baseboards, around window/door trim, between mattresses and boxsprings, behind picture frames, etc.

For preventative applications, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate will provide up to a 30 day residual. View the full product label for more information.

  • Asked by Chi
    07/10/2022
    Q
If the residual effects of Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate lasts for 30 days, then why should we reapply every 7 to 14 days?
Sprayed with crossfire and seemed to be free for 3 weeks. Then I began to see signs and get bites again. Sprayed a second time 30 days ago but it seemed to have no effect. Sprayed for a third time a few days ago. If the residual is supposed to last for a full 30 days then why do we need to reapply so often?
    A

Per the manufacturer, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate should be applied every 30 days for preventative treatments.

For active bed bug infestations, it is necessary to retreat every 7-10 days with Crossfire along with an insecticide dust such as Cimexa Dust to reach further back into cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide. This process needs to be reapplied every 7-10 days until you go 30 full days without seeing any signs of beds.

After the application of Crossfire has dried, dust along baseboards, in corners, around window/door trims, undersides of boxsprings, between the mattress and box springs, inside hollow furniture legs, etc.

Please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide for more information on a full treatment program
