    What is the rate of application for Cy-Kick CS for mosquito control?
    A

    When using Cy-Kick CS you can use between 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. I recommend that you spray all shrubery and vegetation where mosquitoes may rest.     Is it better to alternate products ? I have used CyKick for a couple years, spraying monthly.
    Does continual use of the same product eventually affect the effectiveness of the product.

    It can be helpful to change the product you are using to help prevent resistance issues with pests over long periods of time. That being said, we also are firm believers in sticking with a product that is working well, so if you aren't seeing any problems with the Cy-kick currently or noticing it not lasting as long as before, then you could certainly keep using it on a montly basis. A great product you could alternate to though for a huge range of pests would be Temprid SC.

    My wife is terrified for my health, so I was wondering if there is any standard PPE recommended to use when applying a spray. Say specifically Cy-Kick CS would I need to wear anything? Is a gas mask overkill?

    We recommend that you follow the product label and MSDS for information on protective equipment when applying insecticides as they can vary. The MSDS for Cy-Kick CS recommends that you wear basic protective gear. We do carry a Basic Safety Kit on our website and offer free shipping! Please let us know if you need anything else.

    I'm looking for a product like Demand CS or Cyonara. Cyonarra is cheap but is very odorous, what else might have lambda cyhalothrin in it for scorpions?

    Cy-kick CS is virtually odorless, and will not create a visible residue or stain when used according to the recommended label rate. It is very reasonably priced and great for treating scorpions and other listed insects. White it does not contain the active ingredient you are seeking, it will be another great synthetic pyrethroid for control.

    I need a good preventative spay. What do you recommend?
    I am looking for a good preventive spay for indoor and outdoor use, does not have to be the same product. No bug related issues, so just something to prevent any future problems. Amarillo Texas is in the top of Texas, we have a 3000 sq ft home. I have pump type 2 gallon sprayer.

    Which product of these three will be best for me? Cy-kick CS vs Termidor or Tempo
    I need help in determining which product is best for me. I live in Southern California and have an array of pest: spiders including black widows, ants, slugs, crickets, mosquitoes, wasp, silverfish, termites, etc. What is the best product for me to use? Is there one product or do I need all three?

    Tempo SC or Cy-Kick CS both would be great options for you to use around your home and inside to control pretty much all the pests you mentioned and then some. Termidor would only be used if you are doing a trench treatment around the foundation of the home for subterranean termites, or if you were drilling a hole in a wall to spray it directly on a termite colony as a spot treatment.

    I'd like to mix Exciter to Cy-Kick CS to add some quicker knockdown.
    How do most effectively mix the two chemicals and does mixing alter performance of either ?

    ExciteR can be mixed with any insecticide including Cy-Kick CS to give it a faster initial knockdown.  You would follow the rates on each product labels, 1 to 2 oz Cy-Kick CS per gallon of water, 1/4 to 1/4 fl. ounce of ExciteR per finished gallon

    Can Cy-Kick CS be used indoors? Can it be used simultaneously with Ultracide?
    I am going to use Ultracide to contol the flea life cycle in the carpeting. We don't have pets, but live in an area with a lot of wildlife which seems to cause the outbreaks. I need Cy-Kick to control the scorpions that enter the house and am thinking of spraying the indoor baseboards with it.

    Cy-Kick CS can be applied indoors to the cracks and crevices for the treatment of scorpions and other listed pests. It is not labeled to be applied indoors as a broadcast for flea treatments so we recommend that you vacuum daily and apply Ultracide once every two weeks indoors for flea control. A minimum of two indoor applications of Ultracide is required. You may have to perform a third or fourth application depending on the level of fleas. We also recommend treating your pets and the outside of your home.

    Cy-Kick-CS
    I have found Cy Kick to kill most everything I wanted but I have never tried it on Fire Ants. Is it a good product for that? If not,what should I order?

    Cy Kick CS is labeled for fire ants however Extinguish Fire Ant Bait is our most popular ant bait. Applied as a broadcast application use 1.5-2 lbs. per acre and for ndividual mounds treatment, use 2-5 tablespoons. Keep in mind, Ants must be foraging for this to work. You should not apply this product in the late fall or winter of ants are not foraging...it will not work! Also, bait must remain dry. Do not apply if it is going to rain within 8 hours.

    What is the 3-5mm long maggot-type thing with hair, the casings of which I find in my storage cupboards?
    This creature seems to feed on other dead insects which I have collected, and even drilled holes in some mouse bait pellets I put there, leaving small piles of dust. It is the larvae of something, and I want to eliminate it, as the storage room has a strange musty smell, which I think is caused by the action of these creatures, in a used mattress which is in the spare room.

    It is almost impossible to tell you for sure what type of insect you have without seeing it. We can tell you that it is most likely the larva of some type of pantry beetle and from your description could possibly be a Dermestid Pantry Beetle Larvae. Dermestid beetles are a scavenger beetle that prefer to feed on dead tissue (insects, animals) but will also feed on grains (pasta, rodent bait, flour) when necessary. You need to inspect the infested room and discard all infested items. You should also thoroughly clean every crack and crevice of the room to help get rid of hidden larva as they are known to crawl away from infested items to pupate. After cleaning the room you can spray all of the cracks and crevices with a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick CS. Please note that without finding and discarding the infested items you will not be able to get rid of the infestation.

    Will Cy-Kick CS, Delta Dust, and Fireback be a good combination to treat spiders and scorpions in an old house?
    Is there any reason not to use this triple whammy: 1) delta dust into cracks, crevices, 2) cy-kick after delta dust into same various crevices, 3) fireback scorp and spider onto baseboards, closet corners, roof beams, wall corners, etc...

    Your treatment plan sounds great. The only other recommendation we would have is that you also treat outdoors around the windows, doors and foundation using the Cy-Kick to help prevent getting the scorpions indoors in the first place.

    I live in a log cabin in the woods and have a scorpion problem inside what would be best ?
    We have found them on the walls , carpet , kitchen floor, and basement and we have a 6 month old fixing to crawl. I want them gone we have used walmart brand over the years and hired someone few years ago and both didnt seem to get rid of them, we didnt see as many just a few a year but the past month ive seen 15 more than ive seen in the years put together! We have tried cleaning the clutter etc too ! I want to spray everything carpet and all to get rid of them for good they scare me even if they wont kill me i dont want to be stung and sure dont want my daughter stung ! My husband has got stung 3 or 4 times over the years and said it hurt a few seconds and went away so he aint flipn out like me.... any suggestions?

    Getting rid of scorpions requires a combination of both chemical and non-chemical measures. Think of non-chemical measures (such as vacuuming, sanitation, harborage removal, and exclusion) as limiting or removing conditions that contribute to the infestation. These measures are largely preventative but scorpion control cannot be achieved without them. The next step is to come in with the real ammunition, chemical pesticides, that do the job of physically wiping out an infestation. Cy-Kick CS is one of the most popular scorpion control products on the market. Cy-Kick CS insecticide concentrate is mixed with water and sprayed around the outside perimeter of the home for excellent scorpion control. Cy-Kick CS can also be sprayed indoors in select areas (keep indoor spraying to a minimum such as corners, under appliances, behind toilets, under sinks, cracks and crevices, along walls and corners in garages, basements, etc.) Use glue boards in areas of suspected activity to help monitor your progress.

    What spray will work for scorpions and last for about 6 months?
    I had to have a pest Control person come in and they used bifen and cykick on the outside and cykick on the inside. I'm looking for something I can do myself safely and that lasts 6 mo. I've used Ortho Home Smart on the perimeter outside and inside and its been good but the last 2 yrs I've found scorpions in the house and in the garage. I only live in the house during the winter from Jan ! to may 1

    Cy Kick CS is one of the top products for scorpion control. Unfortunately there is not a concentrated spray product on the market that will last 6 months, most concentrates will last for up to 8 weeks outdoors. Also, products that do leave a residual do not have an immediate kill which could account for scorpions that are still able to get indoors. If you are looking for a product that has a longer residual than the concentrated liquids you can apply a dust insecticide product such as Delta Dust or Tempo Dust to wall voids and cracks and crevices indoors and outdoors. Dust insecticides can last 6 months or more when applied according to the product labels.

    Does Cy-Kick CS work for booklice inside the home?
    A
    The best way to control booklice is by lowering the humidity in the infested areas which in turn will help eliminate the mold and fungus these insects need to survive. Infested furniture and carpeting should be thoroughly steam cleaned and vacuumed. You can spray your furniture with Sterifab to get rid of any lingering insects. Cracks and crevices around baseboards, door frames, window frames and other harborage areas can safely be treated with Cy-Kick Aerosol. You can also follow up with a dusting of Cimexa Dust to help eliminate these pests in carpet and in cracks and crevices around the home.  You cannot spray anything on books so for those we recommend you find a way to heat treat them with a device like the Packtite or you can seal them loosely into bins with Nuvan Prostrips.

    What is the coverage area for outside perimeter treatment with Cy-Kick CS?
    1- How much product is needed for doing a perimeter treatment around an average (2000 sq ft single story) house? 2- For primarily ant control, how does this product compare to Termidor?

    Most all insecticides including Cy-Kick CS are labeled to be applied at a rate of 1 gallon per 1000 square feet.  Most homes usually take 2 gallons of solution to do a good outside perimeter treatment every 2 to 3 months.  So one bottle of Cy-Kick can easily last you a year and a half or more.  Termidor is considered to be the best ant treatment product on the market.  This is because Termidor does not kill the ants right away and the ants end up taking the Termidor back to the colony where it kills them at the source.  Cy-Kick CS will kill the ants much quicker, but the downside is the colony still marches on reproducing ants faster than you can kill them.  For all other insects, Cy-Kick CS would be considered to be better because you want other insects dead as quickly as possible, especially things like scorpions, which Cy-Kick CS is our best selling product for.

    Can you use Cy-Kick CS in a gas fireplace?
    The area that I just moved into has a problem with bark scorpions so I just purchased Cy-Kick CS to prevent them from getting into my house. My backyard is surrounded by a cinder brick wall and my neighbor behind my yard has a Palm tree. An excellent entry point in my house would be the gas fire place. Can I spray in and around the gas fire place?

    Unfortunately none of the insecticides are labeled to treat inside a gas fireplace for safety issues and inhalation if the residual was heated up by the fire.  However, Cy-Kick CS is one of our best and most popular products for scorpions, and since scorpions enter the home from outside, a good exterior treatment around your home and around the outside of the fireplace should prevent them from getting in or coming through that area.
