  • Asked by Marilyn from Corpus Christi, Texas

    Q
Does the Cyonara Lawn, Yard and Garden Spray contain an IGR?
    A

The Cyonara Lawn Yard and Garden Spray does not contain an IGR. If you are looking to control a pest for which an IGR is needed, then you would need to use a hand pump or backpack sprayer and mix a concentrated insecticide and IGR together in the tank to spray. We carry many IGRs that could work for your needs but we cannot make a recommendation for one without knowing what pest you are treating for. You can see our list of IGR's at the link below.

  • Asked by Vicki from Friendswood, Texas
    07/16/2021
    Q
How do I turn on the bottle to spray from a hose?
    A
To spray Cyonara Lawn, Yard and Garden Spray connect the Ready to Spray nozzle to a hose, making sure that the dial on the nozzle is in the "OFF" position with the safety tab in the valve notch.  Turn on water. Begin treatment on the furthest area and work back toward the faucet so that you do not come in contact with treated areas. To START spraying, direct nozzle toward treatment area and bend the safety tab back (located at the right of the dial) and hold while turning the dial counter clockwise until it stops. Water will automatically mix with the product.

  • Asked by Richard from Houston, Tx

    Q
Can Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS get rid of snails and slugs and also what about frogs/toads?
    A

Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS will not treat frogs, toads, snails, or slugs. We do sell many products that will kill Snails and Slugs here.

There are no toxic products labeled for frogs or toads (or reptiles for that matter), and given the highly beneficial nature of these amphibians there is not likely to be anything coming along. The reasons they are on your property are because they can find food and proper habitat, and these are probably your only means for making them go away. Take away their food and they will forage somewhere else. Take away the conditions they need for hiding all day and they will seek refuge someplace else.

Habitat modification may be the more effective way to limit frogs on your property. Frogs are mainly nocturnal, and they seek food at night when it is cooler and damper. During the day they look for cool, damp, dark places to hide. They will hide under dense shrubbery or ground covers, under logs or lumber on the soil, or under large landscape rocks and timbers to avoid the hot, dry sun. Trim shrubbery, remove thick ground-cover, stack lumber or firewood off of the soil a few inches and remove any other objects or debris that come in contact with the soil and can provide harborage. Limit watering to help eliminate moisture from your yard.

    Q
Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS vs Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.7%?
Why is this product safe to apply to edible gardens, but Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.7% is not?
    A

These products were manufactured using different inert ingredients and formulas so you would not want to use Lambda Cyhalothrin on edible vegetation because it was not formulated for this use. Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS is safe to use as directed on the product label.

    Q
Can Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS be used to treat squash bugs on watermelons that are 21 days out from harvesting?
    A

Cyonara Lawn & Garden RTS is not labeled for use on watermelon therefore would not be recommended to use.

PyGanic Gardening is labeled for use on watermelons and listed to target squash bugs and many other insects This is a pyrethrin insecticide that will only provide a contact kill and does not leave any residual. It can be applied up to the day of harvest and reapplied on an as needed basis. Since some plants may exhibit sensitivity when using this product in sunny areas, it is recommended to treat and observe a small number of plants for 10 days after treatment before treating a large number of plants for the first time.

Refer to the product label for more informaton and application rates.
