    Q
Will Cyper WSP work on ground digger wasps? (Cicada killers)
    A

Cyper WSP is labeled for wasps, however, this product will wash away if applied directly to the soil. Another option would be Talstar P. The mixing rate is 1 fl oz per gallon of water and can be applied directly to the holes. Be sure to apply the product when the wasps are not active.

    Q
I want to treat a large area for ants in my yard. What setting should I use on my hose end sprayer with Cyper WSP? My yard is approximately 14,000 sq ft.
    A

Cyper WSP like any wettable powder insecticide cannot be used in any hose end spraying equipment. It is only applied with a standard pump sprayer. Cyper WSP would be mixed at the rate of 1-2 packets per gallon of water, per 1,000 sq. ft. in a pump sprayer.

  • Asked by Gloria from Douglasville

    Q
Is Cyper WSP harmful to cats if they re-entered the home before the application was dry?
I sprayed my home with Cyper WSP and a little after that my cat entered the home. My cat looked like it was sick and was vomiting. Could the Cyper WSP be the reason why to the point I needed to call the vet or what remedies could I use?
    A

If an animal of any kind was allowed into a treatment area before the application of Cyper WSP has had time to dry completely, you need to contact your vet and the chemical emergency number on the label of the product. Your vet should also have this  chemical emergency number. We are not medical professionals or vets so we cannot advise of any steps to take other than contacting your pets doctor.

    Q
Will Cyper WSP work on millipedes?
    A

Yes, Cyper WSP is labeled to control millipedes. The product label states that you would use 1 packet in a gallon of water. Millipedes are usually going to be present when there is a lot of moisture in the area. If you have a lot of mulch near your house you may want to consider raking it back at least six inches away from the house. Also trimming bushes so that you can see the soil beneath them and so they do not touch the house will help reduce soil moisture and stop the insects from gaining access to the house via the bushes. We have written an article with other tips that may help you with millipede control: Get Rid of Millipedes

  • Asked by Linda from Newport, Wa

    Q
How well does the Cyper WSP work for controlling yellow jackets?
I have a considerable yellow jacket problem this year and haven't located the nests.
    A

Unfortunately, the Cyper WSP is not labeled to treat for yellow jackets. Please check out our article "How to Get Rid of Yellow Jackets". If you can get to the openings where the yellow jackets are coming in and out from, we highly recommend applying a dust like Tempo 1% Dust and when the yellow jacket comes in contact with it, the dust will transfer from yellow jacket to yellow jacket and kill off the entire nest.  We also have the Tempo SC Ultra that will dry clear, can be applied in a wall void, cracks, and crevices outside the home.
