    Q
Does Cyzmic CS have the same residual (90 days) that Demand CS has?
Demand CS lasts up to 90 days. All I've been able to find about Cyzmic CS is "long lasting residual", which is very general. Has there been any real testing if it is really as good as Demand CS?
    A
The Demand CS label also does not give a definitive time frame, but you are correct that it is well known that any product that is micro-encapsulated (like Demand CS and Cyzmic CS) are going to have a longer residual than most other products. Cyzmic CS is an exact generic version of Demand CS. While there are no immediate studies that we are aware of, we have received great customer feedback on Cyzmic CS and the results seem to be right in line with Demand CS.

    Q
What is best to use for stink bugs outside the home, on siding, soffiits etc?
I've heard Talstar P and Demand CS. Also, which dust should I apply my attic and garage?
    A
We recommend you check out our Stink Bug Control Kit. This kit includes the products we recommend for stinkbugs; Demon WP insecticide with Cypermethrin, Eco PCO dust and a bellow hand duster for easy application. It is recommended that you begin treatments in early fall when they begin foraging in your home. Apply the products monthly during August through November for better control. We also carry an excellent indoor trap for stink bug control called the Strube Stink Bug Trap.

    Q
Is Cyzmic CS safe for children and also is it safe when use on siding(will it damage it or not)?
We have a problem with ladybugs and box elder bugs. There are so many of them that is almost impossible to get into our house without leading some of them in to the house!
    A
Cyzmic CS is very safe to use around children and animals as long as they are out of the area while you are spraying. They can return as soon as the area is dry. Cyzmic CS is odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, and will not break down easily with rainfall. It is also safe to apply to siding and we have never had an issue from our customers applying it on any surface. If the ladybugs and boxelder bugs are in your home, they most likely moved in during the fall. When the weather warms up, they will come out of their hiding places (usually wall voids, drop ceilings attics) and try to find their way outdoors. Unfortunately, after the ladybugs and boxelder bugs have gained entry there is not much you can do beyond vacuuming them up and applying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick Aerosol around the door frames and window frames and other cracks and crevices may give you some relief.

    Q
Will the residue from Cyzmic CS kill bed bugs?
Is the residue able to kill them for weeks like the BedLam spray? I want to do overkill and spray anything and everything in my house but that would take tons of cans of BedLam, so I need something I can mix for a sprayer. But I want the residue to still continue to kill the bed bugs for a few weeks. What is best for that?
    A

Cyzmic CS is labeled for bed bugs and will kill them. You can apply Cyzmic every 21 days indoors. It is very important to follow the product label instructions and resist the temptation to spray 'anything and everything'. According to the Cyzmic product label :

Bed bugs: Clean floors and surfaces by vacuuming. Apply as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to bedsprings and bed frames. Do not apply to furniture surfaces or mattresses where people will be laying or sitting. Infested bedding should not be treated, but should be removed, placed in sealed plastic bags, and taken for laundering and drying at high temperatures.

There is another product called Phantom that can last up to 30 days and it can be sprayed in all of the places the the Cyzmic can be sprayed in plus it can be used on the tufts, folds, seams and edges of mattresses and box springs. Phantom has the benefit of being non-repellent which means that insects cannot sense that it is there so they cannot avoid treated areas. There is no known resistance from bed bugs to the active ingredient contained in Phantom.

    Q
Already put down DE under baseboards and bed frame, do I need to vacuum them up before applying Cyzmic CS?
I already treated the room with DE for bed bugs. 1. Do I need to vacuum DE up before applying Cyzmic CS combined with Gentrol IGR? 2. If there is no need to vacuum the DE before Cyzmic CS combined with Gentrol IGR, is the DE still functional in regards to killing bed bugs -- after applying Cyzmic & CS? 3. Is it a big benefit to mix Cyzmic CS with Gentrol IGR, or should I apply them separately?
    A
You do not need to vacuum up the Diatomaceous Earth.  You can just apply the Cyzmic CS as needed, but you should try to direct the Cyzmic CS up on the baseboard and not directly over the DE.   You should apply Gentrol IGR with the Cyzmic CS at the same time.  They are applied in the same places so there is no reason to apply the products separately.

    Q
Is Cyzmic CS kill Bed bug eggs? Is any other products will kill the bed bugs eggs?
    A
Cyzmic CS is not labeled to kill bedbug eggs. Both Bedlam aerosol and Sterifab are labeled to kill bedbugs and their eggs. You should note that even those products that can kill the eggs do not kill the eggs 100% of the time and repeat treatments every 7-10 days will still be required.

What are the symptoms found with dogs with exposure to Cyzmic CS?
He seems to be having trouble walking. I don't know if it was this product or some other problem.
    A
We have never heard of any reaction by a dog when exposed to Cyzmic when it has been used as instructed on the product label. That being said, every animal is different and your dog is obviously having some sort of issue. You should contact your veterinarian immediately. For your convenience we have linked the Cyzmic product label and MSDS in our answer so you can print them and give them to the vet.

Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide Compared to Knox Out (Micro encapsulated Diazinon).
I've used & like Knox Out which you don't sell. How does Cyzmic compare in terms of effectiveness?
    A
For one thing Diazinon (Knox Out) was outlawed years ago and is no longer available.  As far as products left today Cyzmic CS is one of the best.  It has the longest residual of any of the products we sell and is labeled for just about anything you would want to treat.  It would be a great choice for your pest control needs.

    Q
Does Cyzmic CS control spiders? Will it kill Brown Recluse spiders?
I live in Indiana and just rented a home that is invested with spiders as well as silverfish and Roolie Pollies as I call them and also millipedes and some other pest or a mold bacteria that creates a pest of some kind but I need a good residual for Bacteria and pests and pet safe . Indiana State so thats where I am so The Heat is going to be the worse so the best is what I need for a many a pest and also something for the auto and the best residual on concrete as well as vinyl, wood, metal and yard
    A
Cyzmic CS would be a good choice for general insect control and spider control. Even though Brown Recluse spiders are very scary to have in your house they are no harder to get rid of than any other spider. The hardest part of getting rid of the brown recluse is finding them since they like to remain hidden. Cyzmic CS would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider control. Spraying Cyzmic CS will also help to get rid of the insects (silverfish, sow bugs aka rollie pollies and millipedes) that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure. As for the mold or bacteria you have noticed, this problem would need to be treated with a different product. Boracare with Moldcare can be used to treat mold and certain wood fungus on unfinished wood. If you have a mold/bacteria problem in other areas you would need to contact a professional.

    Q
At what rate do you use Cyzmic SC outdoors for mosquitoes?
I read the product label, I see where it says .2 oz per gallon, but then listed below that it has the concentration listed at .8 with note 4, which says use .6 for residual control. If I was going to spray outside of my home on the brick, eves, & shrubs & trees, at what rate would I use to kill & provide a residual for mosquitoes?
    A
For mosquito control outdoors where the product will be in contact with UV rays and rain we recommend using the highest allowed usage rate which is 0.8 fl. oz. per gallon of water (0.06% active ingredient) as it will have the fastest knockdown and last the longest.

You can apply a product such as Cyzmic CS to the shutters before the wasps try to start nesting in the area. You should apply once a month through the wasp season to control the nesting.

    Q
Can Cyzmic CS be mixed with Cyper WP?
Target = german roaches Started applying Cyper WP and Gentrol IGR concentrate in a garage with german roaches. This has been highly effective and got rid of most of the roaches, but I can't seem to get rid of them 100%. I was thinking of adding a "booster" of sorts to the Cyper wp/Gentrol mixture hoping to finish them off for good. Would Cyzmic be a good choice for this, or is there another product/approach that would be a better choice?
    A
You should not mix the Cyzmic into the Cyper WP or the roaches will not walk over the treated areas. For a booster to the Cyper WP you should use Martins Syner Pro. Martins SynerPro PBO is added to tank mixes as a synergist that aids in preventing the target insect's regular metabolic function from breaking down the insecticide molecules. By preventing the insect from removing the toxins from its system Martins SynerPro PBO increases the effectiveness of the insecticide.

  • Asked by Quennehen from Avenel, Nj

    Q
Can Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide be mixed with Gentrol to kill German roaches?
I live in an apartment complex and it seems that everybody here is having a problem with german roaches. The exterminator came twice but the problem is not being solved. I decided to order Cyzmic, Gentrol, Invict Gold and D-fense dust to treat the problem. My question is: Can you mix Cyzmic with Gentrol, and do you apply the Invict gold before or after you spray the mix? I want to make sure that I don't contaminate the gel bait. Also, How often should I do the treatment with the mix and the gel? And can I spray the mix on the counter tops and furniture? Thanks.
    A
Yes, the Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide can and should be mixed with the Gentrol IGR and a gallon of water to perform the application at one time. The order in which you apply the products is not very important, making sure to keep the roach bait and the spray completely separate is most important. We recommend putting the Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel up high in cabinets, drawers, and under the lip of the countertops and spray along the baseboards. You want to make sure that you don't get the spray on the bait or place the bait on top of the areas that have been sprayed. The Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide can be reapplied after 21 days and the Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel can be reapplied as needed. You should NOT spray your countertops or any other food preparation surface.

  • Asked by Julia from Keizer, Or

    Q
Will this product help control indoor and outdoor fly infestation?
We have had a major problem with large flies since early spring thanks to a neighbor having had a sheep housed next to our shared fence. I keep fly strips up inside and bait bags outside with no reduction in the fly population.
    A
Cyzmic CS is labeled for flies and will provide a lasting residual but a slower kill. It can be used both inside and out and will help kill any flies that land on the treated surface.  We would also recommend for outdoors the Maxforce Fly Spot Bait that kills flies in a minute or less in most cases. Maxforce Fly Spot Bait is labeled for use indoors and outdoors in commercial settings and outdoors for residential settings.  Just one small spot of bait will last up to 6 weeks to provide indoors and 30 days outdoor control of pesky flies.
