    Q
How long does it take to kill a wasp nest that you can't get to the nest using deltamethrin .05 percent dust?
    A

Delta Dust Insecticide is an insecticide dust only and not a bait.  While some insects can pick it up and transfer it to others they are in contact with, it alone will not eliminate a colony/nest unless you are directly dusting it or any holes where insects are coming and going. This process can take a few days or longer depending on the target pest and level of infestation.

    Q
    Kill wasps in a downspout
I have a wasp infestation in a downspout. I cannot see the nest but I do see the flying in and out of the open top which is not accessible from the roof. The opening is about 15 feet from the ground. Can I use Delta Dust for this purpose and if so, how can I get it to the top of the downspout?
    A
Delta Dust Insecticide should not be applied in a downspout. We recommend checking for any debris and clean inside there and ensure they are installed securely. May need to have a professional remove the nest (when they are the least active) and seal crevices around the gutter. The structural voids can be dusted and a residual spray applied monthly to listed exterior areas as well as using wasp traps. Here is a great article on inspecting, treating and preventing wasps.

    Q
We have yellow jackets in the ground under the vinca minor near the house.
will Delta Dust work? and how to apply it
    A

Delta Dust works well and provides excellent coverage when applied in and around the nest. Delta Dust lasts 4 to 6 months and will result in a quick kill. Apply dust liberally using a bulb duster (for easier application) and repeat in 3 to 4 months to control for newly hatched yellow jackets.

    Q
Hornets in void between wood planter and concrete basement wall
How to get rid of them?
    A

Although Delta Dust Insecticide is not labeled for hornet control, you could consider thoroughly dusting the void entrance and the surrounding areas with Tempo Dust using a hand duster.
