    Q
North Texas area. I haves 20 cubic yard pile of mulch that is full of scorpions. Can I treat it with Demand CS
I bought this mulch to use as a weed prevention barrier under fruit trees but hadn't spread it yet when I saw scorpions nesting in it. I'm using Demand to keep the scorpions out of my house but need to treat the mound itself before spreading. The mulch would not touch the stem, leaves, branches, or fruit on the trees.
    A

Demand CS should not be applied within the dripline of the tree, branches, stems, soil, leaves, fruit, etc.

  • Asked by Joe from Naples Florida

    Q
Can Demand CS Insecticide be applied over the top of a pool cage screen enclosure?
Is it a violation of the label to apply demand cs all over a pool cage screen enclosure even above the pool incuding to the top of the pool aluminum framing? In essence applying it as a broadcast application not being able to control drift or have control of a specific targeted area?
    A

Demand CS can be applied to surfaces of buildings, porches, screens, window frames, eaves, patios, garages, refuse dumps, and other similar areas where these insect pests are active. If spraying over a swimming pool, propert measures would need to be taken by covering the pool while spraying to avoid overspray from contaminating the water.

    Q
Why am I still seeing insect day after Demand CS Insecticide application?
    A

Demand CS Insecticide is considered a repellent because insects can detect it. This does not mean they are truly repelled from the area they can just choose to avoid it as they know something is there. They must contact the treated area to be effected by the product though.  You will still see insects after application but as long as they contact the area long enough they will die, this could be within a few minutes, hours or up to 24 or more depending on a few factors such as type of insect, age/heatlh, how long they spent on the treated area and how long after application they contacted it.

We also have a great general pest prevention guide that can help and general spray video
