Henhouse sticktight flea control
By Tom on 05/18/2010
I had a really bad infestation in my hen house from stick-tight fleas. I sprayed Demize and Demize Nylar IGR as per the instructions, 5 days later, I sprayed again. Infant fleas kept covering my legs, so I sprayed a mixture of bleach and Dawn. That settled them down so the Nylar could take it's course. It's tricky in a hen house as the top layer of manure is constantly being replaced. So far, so good, just had to let the IGR cycle through. The hens haven't been bothered by the chemicals and it is now 3 weeks later and we seem to be flea free. Good stuff, just be patient.

Nylar IGR - breaking the cycle
By Al on 08/18/2010
I had never experienced such a bad infestation of fleas ever before and I knew I would need help eradicating the fleas that had taken over my house. I bombed the house, treated my cats and only a week later discovered that the population was still increasing. After some research it was clear that without IGR my fight would be futile. I ordered the Nylar IGR, because I read that it was effective and odorless. Everything I read about the product was true, this stuff really does what it says and I was able to break the cycle and have gotten the situation back under control. I just wish I had know about IGR before the infestation; ounce of prevention...

Mix with an adulticide
By Joseph on 07/10/2010
Mix with an adulticide (for ex., Onslaught), spray thoroughly, let it dry before letting people or pets come into contact with it (about four hours), and say goodbye to fleas for three months. This stuff really works. Also, treat the cat or dog with a topical that contains both an adulticide and an IGR (Frontline or Revolution, for instance). Don't use anything with permethrin in it directly on a cat.
