    Q
Can Demon WP Insecticide be used any time of year outdoors, or is it best to wait until you see pests?
Also, will it work on lady bugs?
    A

You are able to apply Demon WP any time of year when you see activity or as a preventative treatment as long as the temperature is not at or below freezing when you are treating. Lady bugs are not specifically listed on the label, but Demon WP does treat for very common insects around the structure including spiders, cockroaches, boxelder bugs, fleas, and ants.

  • Asked by Rick from Freehold,nj

    Q
Does Demon WP have a strong odor?
Does the Demon WP have a strong lingering smell? Would it be safe to spray in a basement containing pet tortoises? Should they be removed for a couple of days after spraying and then brought back in? Are the fumes harmful to breathe? I have a centipede and spider infestation.
    A
Demon WP does not have a strong lingering odor. You can safely spray Demon WP indoors for spiders and centipedes (be sure to read and follow the product label). You should remove all animals from the room during the application and they should not return until the product has had a chance to dry.  You should not spray areas that the tortoises have direct contact with, keep the application to cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Some species of animals can be very sensitive to any kind of chemical and if your tortoises fall into this category we recommend you contact your veterinarian for further advice.

    Q
I have roaches in my dishwasher and ac ducts which product I should use which completely eliminates the roach.
Roaches infestation in my kitchen specially dishwasher and ac duct which are there in kitchen area what product should I use on them
    A
Demon Wp is not labeled to be applied in dishwasher and A/C ducts. It is very important that you read and follow the product label to avoid contaminating sensitive areas. You can use a high quality roach bait gel such as the Advion Roach Bait Gel to treat areas where spraying would not be appropriate (counter tops, cabinets, drawers, around dishwasher, a/c vent). The roaches will consume the bait and then go back to their nesting area and spread the bait which will help eliminate the roaches more quickly than spraying insecticides and IGRs alone. Getting rid of roaches is not a process that only takes only a few hours. Moderate roach infestations can take a few weeks to get rid of and severe infestations can take several months even when using all of the products needed (insecticide, IGR, roach bait) and sanitation is up to par.

  • Asked by Steven from Alabama, Usa

    Q
How does Demon WP insecticide compare to Talstar P?
    A
Talstar P and Demon WP are both synthetic pyrethroid products and work in a very similar way. The key difference here would be that the Demon WP is a wettable powder and as such it is able to stay on the surface of porous areas allowing insects to come in contact with it a bit better. That being said Demon WP also leaves behind a white powdery residue that is visible on dark surfaces. Talstar P is a concentrated liquid that is odorless, dries clear and is labeled for a huge variety of insects (including roaches) and areas making it a bit more versatile.

  • Asked by Kim from Huntsville

    Q
Building a new home, will it affect the wood in anyway if used before staining?
It will be alittle while before we stain, but need to treat for the bees, will it affect the wood against staining in anyway?
    A
The Demon WP will leave behind a powdery residue on the surface that may need to be wiped off before staining. A better option would be Cyonara 9.7 which will dry clear on the surface and not need to be removed before staining. It will do just as good of a job at controlling bees as the Demon WP as well as other insects.

    Q
I live on acreage and want to apply Demon on my lawn and further out about 20 feet.
I purchased an Ortho Dial-in hose end sprayer. I am not sure how much Demon and water to put in the hose end sprayer. The bottle on the hose end sprayer holds 32oz's.
    A
Typically you would want to apply 1 gallon per 1000 square feet of yard.  Each gallon would have one scoop of demon.  So, if your yard was 2000 square feet, you would place two scoops of Demon in the hose end sprayer, then fill the hose end sprayer to the 2 gallon mark with water.  This should apply one scoop per gallon of water over 1000 square feet.

    Q
What is the proper use of Demon WP around dogs?
do dogs have to stay out side after you spray
    A
Demon WP is not a problem to use around pets as long as you apply it according to the label. Once Demon WP is mixed with water it is only strong enough to kill small insects. You would not want to leave the jar of Demon WP open where dogs could get into a large quantity of it. It is always a good idea to keep pets and children out of the area while you are treating. Once the product dries, usually after 30 minutes, it is perfectly fine to allow pets and children back in the area.

    Q
Can Demon WP be sprayed in the attic?
I have an attic space that is predominately filled with insulation (the pink cotton candy variety). Can Demon WP be sprayed onto the insulation without damaging it? If so, is Demon WP going to be effective against bugs crawling over the insulation?
    A
Demon WP can be safely sprayed onto anything that water can be safely sprayed onto (we do not know how water safe insulation is). Insects that crawl over areas treated with Demon will be killed. You will need to reapply every 90 days to make sure the product is effective.
