D - Fense NXT is not labeled to for cheyletiella mites, bird or rat mites. We do not offer any products that are specifically labeled for these species. We recommend that you consult with your local cooperative extension office for recommendations and positive pest identification. While awaiting the pest id, you can vacuum, steam, use encasements on furniture and launder belongings such as linens, clothing etc in the washer and dryer. We do offer Sterifab that can be applied to upholstered surfaces, inanimate objects, mattress, etc. for a contact kill.
D-Fense NXT is labeled for bedbugs and can have a residual up to 6 months. Per the product label:
Remove linens and wash before reuse. Take bed apart and treat cracks, joints and interior of framework. Treat mattresses and box springs; especially tufts, folds, and edges. Also treat picture frames, baseboards, moldings and all cracks and crevices in the room. Allow to dry 4 before remaking bed. Do not use in patient rooms in hospitals and nursing homes for treatment of bed bugs. May be used in conjunction with a bed bug proof mattress encasement. To treat furniture, such as couches and upholstered chairs, turn the piece upside down, lift the dust cover from the bottom and spray the interior frame. Replace the dust cover after frame treatment and turn piece right side up.

is a ready-to-use product that contains residual insecticide and two Insect Growth Regulators, so it will continue working after it dries. While this product is labeled for use on exterior surfaces such as along the foundation, on window sills, and other areas where insects may harbor, we would not recommend a ready-to-use product like this for the longest residual. You would get much longer residual outdoors with a liquid concentrate deltamethrin product such as Suspend Polyzone.
D-Fense NXT can be used to control German Cockroaches, but we would recommend using a roach bait gel along with spray for more complete and faster control. We recommend you take a few moments to review our Roach Treatment Guide here for more tips on how to eradicate this pest.
