Per the product label, Ferti-Lome For All Seasons II Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass and Weed Preventer is most effective when applied to a dry lawn and then activated by at least 1/2 inch of rainfall, irrigation, or shallow (1 to 2 inches) incorporation, before weed seed germination and within 14 days following application.
