We found large numbers of (what the local pest control people say are) carpet beetle larvae. My mother complains (77 years old) of being bitten. Pest control operator finds no sign of traditional bedbugs, but we have found the carpet beetle larvae everywhere.
Carpet beetle larva do not bite, but they do have very stiff hairs on their bodies that can be very irritating when they come into contact with a persons skin. Along with the pest control operators treatment, you should thoroughly vacuum the house to remove as many larva as possible. It is also important to find the source of the carpet beetles and remove it to get rid of the infestation for good.
