I have a drain fly infestion and flies have been coming out of my sump pump opening. I have used a gel cleaner by pouring it into the sump pump but do I need a foaming agent with it? Would it be more effective that way? And can I use the aerosol spray directly in the sump pump?
Typically for sump pumps and pits it is good to use a foaming product which would be our Invade Hot Spot or something like Invade Bio Foam in a poly foamer. Foam gets into the pump and cracks and crevices where the gel in our Drain Fly Kit is really only meant for drains in your kitchen or bathrooms. You cannot add a foaming agent to it to make it foam.
