There is not really a preventative for wasps and bees, but rather insecticides that will eliminate the insects once they contact treated surfaces. Tempo SC or Demon WP would both be great choices for wasp and bee control. Dilute according to the product label and spray eaves, soffits, door frames, window frames and other areas where bees or wasps harbor. For active nests, Wasp Freeze would be a good choice as you can spray the nests from about 15 feet away. Active nests should be treated with extreme caution, usually late evening or very early morning is the best time to treat as this is when most of the insects are "home" and less active.
