Answer:

According to the manufacturer: To maximize efficacy against subsurface pests, apply Bifen XTS with a non-ionic surfactant in enough water to ensure the spray penetrates to soil-thatch matrix. Irrigate treated areas with 0.25 to 0.5 inches of water immediately following application taking special care to prevent run-off or puddling.
