Dimension Ultra 40WP  is not effective for pre-emergent prevention until activated by 1/2 inch or more of rainfall or irrigation after application or at least within 7 days.  Applications should be timed to ensure that activation has occurred prior to the tillering stage of crabgrass development or prior to germination of all other weeds.
