Does Bifen IT require a surfactant?

If I add a surfactant to Biden, will it lower the effectiveness of the chemical? I'm wanting this to linger in the trees and bushes at border of property. I have a rather large ditch/ community drainway right next to my property.

Bifen IT does not require the use of a surfactant unless you are treating for mites and/or spider mites per the product label.
