I sprayed an area with phragmites, reed canary grass, and cattails. The grass and phragmites are dying, but it didn't seem to affect the cattails.
Grass Out Max (Clethodim Herbicide) will not affect cattails nor is it labeled for phragmites, and should not be used within 25 feet of any body of water, as it is toxic to aquatic life. Catt Plex would be a better option for weed control around water and for cattails.
