Does it matter what direction the strainer "piston" goes in?

Yes, the direction of the B&G Strainer Kit - Part MS 145-100 is important. We recommend reviewing the sprayer's manual. The image of the Extenda-Ban Valve and parts is at the top right of page 2. Please refer to part 32.
