Does Reward kill willow tree roots? The roots interweave with each other creating a mat.

The mat is about 8 inches thick. The tree was cut down. Now the roots are sprouting!

No, we would recommend using a product such as Bonide Stump Out Stump & Vine Killer to kill the stump and the roots of your willow tree. You want to cut the suckers sprouts off, and make hatchet marks deep enough to hit the cambium cell layer of the tree roots. This layer is the growing part of the tree, and it will absorb the chemical to kill down to the roots.
