Does Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate degrade in sunlight or rain?

I want to use this with my dogs,it says to re apply after 14 days. I have heard Pyrethrin looses its effect upon exposure to sunlight,I walk my dogs daily and they do walk in the sun many times in morning and evening. It's also very common for here to rain and they do sometimes get wet. I saw to information on these regarding the use on dogs. So. Does it looses its effect after these two?. Should I reapply after rain?. Or concerned about sunlight exposure?.

Answer:

Once Southern Ag Pyrethrin Concentrate has dried it is no longer on the surface to provide any killing power. It should be applied when you are not expecting any rainfall during the application and wh=ithin 24 hours of drying. It can be applied to dogs older than 12 weeks after consulting with the vet. Please refer to the product label application instructions as follows:"The To kill FLEAS, BROWN DOG TICKS, AND LICE ON DOGS and to obtain protection against re-infestation: Dilute at a rate of 1 part concentrate and 9 parts water and wet the animal by dipping or spraying. To kill SPINOSE EAR TICK: Dilute at the rate of 1 part concentrate and 24 parts of water and apply by individual treatment, syringing or pouring a few drops into the ears of dogs. For best results against fleas and ticks on dogs, the kennels or animal quarters and bedding should also be treated. Do not reapply product for 14 days."
