to catch, and I don't want one of them springing the door closed without them both being inside. I read that this 606 model has the option of putting a "water bottle with a string attached" so I can manually spring it shut once both kittens are inside...
According to the manufacturer you could potentially sit by the trap and hold the door open so it would not spring shut when an animal enters the trap. The manufacturer was not aware of the "water bottle with a string attached" method and we have not heard of it either and we are not sure if it would work with this trap. You could possibly put a trail of bait inside the trap (a little bait near the front of the trap, a little bait in the middle and finally a little more bait in the back of the trap on/near the trigger plate) which could give the slower kitten time to walk into the trap and then as they progress to eating the bait placements in the rear of the trap it would spring closed.
