    Q
Will Dr. T's Whole Control Mole Repellent harm cats? Will Dr. T's Whole Control Mole Repellent kill tree squirrels?
    A
The active ingredient in Dr. T's Whole Control Mole Repellent is castor oil. Castor oil coats the animals' food source (roots, grubs and mole crickets) and causes stomach disruptions in the animals. After repeated exposure, the moles will avoid the treated area. Dr. T’s Whole Control Mole Repellent does not contain any type of rodenticide that will harm cats or kill tree squirrels.

    Q
Is your Whole Control Mole Repellent safe for pets?
    A
Whole Control Mole Repellent is safe for pets as long as you follow the product label. Be sure all pets are out of the area while the application is being made and they can return as soon as the surface has dried. Whole Control Mole Repellent is a castor oil product and would most likely only cause stomach upset if your pet ingested grass from the treated area.

    Q
Is there a spray to chase voles away?
Voles are getting into my garden.
    A
We carry Dr. Ts Whole Control Repellent. This product is labeled for voles, but it does not actually chase voles away just by being sprayed. The voles would need to eat food items that have been sprayed with the Dr. Ts Whole Control Repellent a few times, then after they experienced stomach upset they would leave the area. Wooden snap traps also work very well for vole control. Simply place the trap directly into the voles runways.

    Q
Will Whole Control Mole Repellent work on gophers?
I've been using the Giant Destroyer in my pasture to control gophers with some success. I am slowly running them off my property. I was wondering once there gone and I spray my fence line, would it help keep them away?
    A
Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent works by coating the animals food source with castor oil. When the animal then repeatedly feeds on treated areas, they will experience stomach upset and then avoid the treated areas. Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent is only labeled to control and repel moles, so we cannot recommend it for gophers. Either the manufacturer has not tested it for gophers or they have and found that the product has not been effective for gophers.

    Q
Will Whole Control Mole Repellent repel rats?
Is there any product out there that will repel rats?
    A
Dr T Whole Control Mole Repellent is actually a castor oil product that is watered into the ground coating all of the food items that a mole might eat. Once the mole eats the food item that has been coated with the product it will experience stomach upset and over a period of a few weeks the mole will usually retreat to areas that do not have contaminated food. Rats tend to find their food by scavenging above ground and are very unlikely to eat items that have been treated Whole Control.

    Q
What should the outside temp be to use this product?
To be most effective, how warm, cool or hot does it need to be outside for the spray to work best.
    A
Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent works well and can be applied in any temperature as long as it isn't below freezing. Do not apply to frozen soil as it will not be able to reach maximum efficiency. Apply Whole Control immediately after the presence of moles is detected or in early spring, mid-summer, or early fall.
