We had an infestation of carpenter bees so I purchased the Drione along with the duster bulb from DoMyOwn and these products have basically stopped the bees in their tracks. We waited until dusk when the bees returned into the holes they drilled, then simply puffed the Drione into the holes and the bees appeared covered with dust and they were done. Awesome stuff!
No more buzz !!

At the recommendation of a coworker I tried this product. This year a second appearance of yellow jackets in my vinyl siding, very aggressive pests! Loaded up my bulb duster with Drione and went to work 5:30 am but the bees were already in full swarm. They surely dislike this stuff, as if the outside bees were communicating to the inside bees. Then a mass exodus from the site. Very rewarding experience as I've been struggling with this problem for two weeks. Thought I was early to recognize the nest, but once you see activity it's kind of too late. Nice product to have on hand, I no longer feel powerless against these relentless pests. Thanks very much DMO!

I have a vehicle that got infested. Since my father doesn't clean or take care of it. I dusted the vehicle. Still had roaches. I literally poured a clump of Drione on a roach and it waved and walked away like I sprinkled him with fairy dust. The vehicle still has the infestation. I tried a fogger too. And then residual. It's like these roaches fought in 'nam! It did kill some but after a few weeks I seen babies crawling around. I've fogged the vehicle 4 times and sprayed residual twice. No avail So the roaches made their way into my home. I sprayed dust every where. In the cracks and crevices behind the fridge and all along the hallways and near the trash. It's like they started skiing in their winter wonderland. I see the little babies having snow days in my kitchen it's so annoying. I've bombed the house twice with a fogger and followed up with dusting. It's cool for about two weeks but then these lil terds came back. I'm going to try a stronger residual like zenprox or something cuz this dust doesn't work. At all... and now we have fleas. Ugh...

Drion dust

This drione dust works very well on cicada killer wasps.
By Eric on 08/13/2017
This dust works very well. You will need to do it at dusk. You will also need to keep on top of the cicada killer holes to ensure new ones are not being dug out by the cicadas. Even though your areas are free from cicadas they come and dig from other areas that are not treated. I recommend this product.

works well on yellow jackets
By Joe on 09/29/2017
This works really well on ground nesting bees. I've used this about 6 times on them and each time it was a one time thing and nest was gone. I took away a star because it requires to you go right up to their hole unless you buy an expensive long range duster. Also, its not an immediate kill. you dust the nest and it works over a day. so you better dust and high tail it out of there.

Drione Dust
By John on 10/06/2017
After my wife was stung by one of the ground nesting yellow jackets, I'd had enough. We had tried foam wasp spray previously, but some were back within a couple of days. After receiving the Drione Dust, with my wife at the bulb duster, she insisted, we have not had a problem. Weeks later and still no more. It's expensive, but it works, which is the important part!

Carpenter Ant Solution
By Jonathan on 05/03/2018
Had a carpenter ant problem in the kitchen. Applied this dust to where I saw them coming in various trails and stopped it very quickly. Had previously tried an outside perimeter solution, but that did not work. Since it is very difficult to find the nests, dusts are the best solution as the worker ants take it back to the nest for a complete kill.

Dead Carpenter Bees
By William on 05/09/2018
I chose this over Delta Dust because Drione Dust is supposed to last longer. Although it doesn't specifically mention on the label it's for Carpenter Bees it does say: "Bees". After looking around various websites I decided this was the product to get. I used the B&G Duster and sprayed the dust in every hole I could find. Within about 2 minutes of spraying the Carpenter Bees could be heard inside the holes, come out and flopped on the ground. This stuff works!

Not sure if I can go on
By Jason on 08/17/2018
I used it once against a colony of sugar ants that hadn't responded to borax nor to diatomaceous earth. It killed them all within a week, maybe less. Not sure if I can live with myself after unleashing such a weapon against such a meager for.

Drione Dust yellowjacket eradication
By Dave on 09/14/2018
Yellowjackets had built a large inaccessible nest behind the siding where it extends several inches below the basement foundation and had managed to find a way into our basement through an electrical box in an interior basement wall. Spraying three cans of bee killer where the bees were coming and going on the outside of the house was a waste of money. I purchased Drione Dust and a bulb duster from DIY. I poofed the dust under the siding after dark. The next day there were only 3 or 4 bees visible. I dusted again the next two nights until no bees were left. I also poofed dust into the electrical box in the basement which eliminated the newly-hatched bees trying to escape the outside dust by coming inside. ALL IN ALL A REMARKABLY EFFECTIVE WAY TO KILL A YELLOW JACKET NEST THAT CAN'T BE SEEN OR ACCESSED WITH BEE SPRAY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRIONE DUST AND THE BULB DUSTER. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Drione for brown recluse spiders
By Larry on 04/29/2020
I consider this to be the #1 choice for control of brown recluse spiders. In the question an answers they said no. Spiders don't groom themselves. This is what the professionals used on my home. Since then I purchased the B&G electric duster for use in attic .Bulb dusters for crack and crevice applications. Need coveralls, gloves, face mask, glasses. No bare skin. It works GREAT !!!!!

An Excellent Product That Works... FAST
By Tracie on 08/27/2020
While painting our 2-story house, my husband found out the hard way that there were two active hornet nests in different locations under the soffit with no way of reaching the nests. So, on a 28' ladder armed with a can of spray he tried to fend them off but the spray did nothing other than to piss off the already really mad hornets. I started researching different pesticide applications that would take care of the problem and realized that living in New York State many highly rated products were not available to me. I finally found Drione Dust and ordered a bottle along with a long shot puffer sprayer. Honestly, the 14" sprayer didn't look all that long when faced with climbing a 28' ladder to annihilate a herd of hornets and my husband straight up accused me of buying the shortest wand, LOL! My husband applied the dust per application instructions and within 2-3 days, no more hornets. He has also used it on a few ground bee nests with excellent results. An outstanding product that works and is cost effective. The only drawback is that it's not waterproof but since I am limited as to what I can use in NY, I'm giving it 5 stars. An excellent product that I will continue to use.

Drione Dust
By David on 09/11/2020
I had two wasp nests within my house walls . I tried several insecticide sprays but just couldn't reach the nests. I heard about Drione Dust after two light applications using the puffer application tool, no more wasps! I would highly recommend this product. It really did the job well.

Excellent Product!!
By Tim on 09/25/2020
I just ordered the 2nd pound of Drione. The first lasted many years and also came from DoMyOwn. I've used it for hornets, wasps, ground bees, ants and wood bees. It's easy to apply, doesn't smell or stain like liquid sprays, can be used inside in crevices etc. When I first ordered I bought the Centro Bulb puffer with extension wand, the same products the Du-Right guy who first treated our house used. As a consumer or pro I highly recommend.

The best among them all
By Fredrick on 12/11/2021
Yes it is way more pricier than Delta dust and Tempo 1% dust. But Drione has a much faster kill rate than those two. If you have bald faced hornets nest, puff some Drione and it will shut down that nest. Now if you have ground hornets then apply Delta dust since it can handle moisture and dampness. So for the more aggressive, bald faced hornets, use the expensive Drione and save the cheaper ones for in ground or structured (house sidings) applications.
