I used this when crabgrass began to creep into my cool-season NJ lawn. One application at the lightest rate (0.5 oz per 1,000 sq ft.) caused the weeds to turn slightly white and die. The following season I applied Tenacity as a pre-emergent and had no issues. I'd highly recommend both products as well as DoMyOwn.com.

I applied it late last summer to mature grass, with excellent kill off. Early application this year has worked well, thus far. There are some late germinators that will be treated again in the near future. There may be mild discoloring of Bermuda, but no damage at all.

I have always fought crabgrass until receiving Drive XLR8. All I can say is it works! I would buy again.

Stop using for a couple of years, don't know why but anyways weeds getting out of control. Went back to this and works AWESOME!!!! Never again will I not use this.

Oops! Apparently MSMA can still be purchased. This is definitely what I'll use for crabgrass control, even if it does cause some temporary yellowing of grass.

Works great on all weeds and doesn't harm Bermuda at all. It also killed some St Augustine creeping up on my Bermuda, I was so happy

This stuff has been destroying our torpedo grass infestation, what a god-send!!! We have done 3 treatments on our Emerald Zoysia (my husband made it a bit stronger that the instructions) and we love it. Even with 50% stronger it isn't killing the grass. We finally got quack grass out of our beds, now time to get this out of our grass!!!

I used Drive XLR8 (with recommended surfactant) as a spot treatment on crabgrass. The lawn itself was 1-2 months old blackjack bermuda (i.e. seeded). The Drive had little to no harmful affect on the bermuda. I'm opting to do touchup spot treatments every 2 weeks for a couple more treatments. reason is two-fold: instructions admit that crabgrass w/ 2-4 tillers may need extra treatment. Also, when doing spot treatments, I miss some of the crabgrass plants. The good news is that after 2 weeks it is obvious which crabgrass weeds are dying and which are not. I'd estimate I initially had a few thousand crab grass plants; at least half of those are dead after my 2nd treatment. The plan is to knock the crabgrass back some more and let the bermuda stolons do their thing. Next year I'll use pre-emergent and hopefully have minimal crab grass to control. Obviously I couldn't use pre-emergent when seeding a lawn. Though the lawn is probably only 15% crabgrass with rest being bermuda, I'll admit treating entire lawn instead of spot treating likely made more sense. Spot treatment is just more my thing.

I had reserved an area of my back yard this spring and the crabgrass had taken over before the rescue had a chance to germinate. I sprayed it yesterday and today the cg is already yellowing out.

This product is the truth. I had crabgrass aggressively invading my Bermuda. I used XLR8 per the instructions with a surfactant and blue dye. In 3 days the crabgrass was dying. 1 month later and it is completely dead and shriveled.No harm at all to my Bermuda. The key is to be patient and you won't be disappointed. Ordering was super easy and shipped fast. Will definitely use this product and website again.

If you are trying to kill crab grass or mostly any other grassy weeds this with mso is by far the beat product I have ever used to kill crabgrass. Nothing else compares for crabgrass

For years I have been frustrated by crabgrass invading my lawn and not having anything to spray on it to kill it. When I heard about this product I finally decided to gamble the 60+ dollars to see if it would work. Well, it really worked. It is the only chemical that gets rid of mature crabgrass. And, the neatest thing about killing crabgrass is that crabgrass is an annual. If you kill it this year, it will not return next year (unless new seeds have been dropped). 460+

I've been fighting crabgrass in Greenville, SC for as long as I've owned a house (almost 30 years).. Over the years, I've tried all sorts of crabgrass weed killers - often at the expense of damaging my lawn. Finally I found Drive XLR8 and thought I would give it a try, or rather invest in it. XLR8 is an amazing product. I used 2oz per gallon as well as 1oz (or maybe it was 0.5oz) of their mineral oil surfactant (M.O.S) in a one gallon garden pump sprayer. I had a large area to spray and I used a broadcast spraying method. After a week, nearly all the crabgrass was dead - but my tall fescue (Kentucky 31) was just fine. I went back with a second spot treatment application on a few of the crabgrass weeds I missed. So no more back breaking from pulling crabgrass for me - or lawn damage from RoudUp. Follow the directions on the bottle which I think maybe a little conservative. This stuff works great as advertised. Excellent product indeed. PS: Once dead, the treated crabgrass seems to just dissolve..

Did some selective spraying on crabgrass and it seems to work great. Have bought many things form "Do My Own" and they ship quick and are great to work with. Also appreciate the ability to download the PdF of the items I buy

Superior product. Much faster and widespread results than most other Quinclorac products. A more targeted herbicide than Q4. But if Crab and foxtail are your target, this is your product.

Mixed in a sprayer and applied to crabgrass with great results. In less then a week results were nearly 100 % complete. Totally satisficed and will use in the future if necessary.

This product works! Results where evident well within 72 hours. My lawn is infested with crabgrass but this product seems to be taking care of the problem. I will definitely use it again.

Got behind on my crabgrass management this year. Was concerned about its effectiveness on somewhat mature crabgrass (no seed heads yet) . Was pleased to see it is killing off the plant. Doesn't seem to harm the fescue.

This stuff works so well you MUST follow label for rate of application. I will admit to being one of those guys that will add an extra couple ounces per gallon to assure kill. Not with this stuff...it doesn't take much. I also love that it kills broad leafs as well...so when spraying crabgrass and you see that occasional dandelion you can hit it.

I had a major crab grass infestation in my front yard. I mixed the Drive XLR8 herbicide with water & a non-ionic surfactant as per the directions. Within 4 days the crab grass was completely dead & brown. The mixture did not affect any of my rye & fescue grass so now I'm ready to re-seed with healthy grass to replace the dead crab grass. I am happy with this product and will use it again, if necessary.

Followed label 3 table spoons per gallon to spot spray and used Non-ionic surfactant instead of recommended DyneAmic Surfactant and I didnt mow a few days before or after application and crabgrass was completly dead in a 7-8 days im not talking yellow but full on brown DEAD . My lawn is ryegrass and didnt effect it in anyway . With this in my lawn arsenal I can now worry about other things than how am I gonna kill this CrabGrass.

I love this product and will definitely get it again in the future, if needed. It killed all of the crabgrass which had grown out of control. It does exactly what it states. I don't mind the yellow spots because now I can till and plant grass seeds that I want.

Very selective and effective! Crabgrass had taken over but after treating it I'm left with the grass I want before I aerate and overseed. Tip: to Measure 3 oz for a 2 gallon spreader, I cut bottom 1/4 off from a 12oz can that worked well for me.

We had a heavy stand of crabgrass this year since i didn't apply a pre-emergent in the spring. Sprayed XLR8 (with Duo Stick Select) on Sunday evening and by Thursday the crabgrass was totally brown. No damage to the bluegrass/fescue lawn.

The crap grass turned yellow on 4th day and brown after.May regular grass start coming back. Exelent product. The don't send to NYS.

I applied Drive XLR8 in late July to my Western PA lawn that was overrun with crabgrass. I had tried other products from Tractor Supply and had zero results. I applied as directed on the container and repeated application in 14 days. I used a 3-point sprayer and used 64 oz. of Drive XLR8 and 40 gallon of water to treat 45,000 sq. ft. After first application crabgrass yellowed but did not completely die. After second application it died completely. Great product that I will buy again next year!
