Definitely kills crabgrass. Disappointed that it doesn't kill clover.

I have Bermuda grass in clay soil. I take pride in my yard and have used all types of weed killer. I have had a strip of weeds adjacent to my driveway I just could not get rid of. Pulling the weeds and chemicals would not work. One application with my pump sprayer and they are gone! FYI my Bermuda yellowed for a week and I though I messed up. The weeds were dead in three days and my grass was back to normal in 10.

Outstanding results - Withering in a week after watering in. Gone in 2. No yellowing in the Bermuda.

I've use this product twice in the last month and it seems to be working on the weeds, crabgrass and other weird grasses in my lawn. I also purchased a surfactant to help the herbicide stick. I will continue using this next spring when it warms up.

I received what I ordered in a couple of days. No fuss. Price as good as anywhere. It was not stocked by local outlets. It seems to be killing crabgrass (September), but it will really be tested next spring.

I was skeptical about using a herbicide on my lawn as I have tried other products that killed my lawn also. I had areas of crab grass growing so I gave this product a try and I was pleasantly surprised it only killed the crabgrass and not my lawn. It did take 3 to 4 weeks for the results. I live in the Inland Empire of So. California. I followed the directions exactly. I do recommend this product.

I used this once with the dye, and that really does make it much easier to see what's been sprayed already. A few days later the crabgrasses started yellowing, then dying after a couple of weeks. I expect another spraying will be required in the spring time.

Works well! I had crabgrass all over the yard. I spot treated on my tall fescue lawn. It works fast and did not harm the lawn. The crabgrass turned brown within two weeks from applying this herbicide.

Immediately fried my crabgrass along with a few other miscellaneous weeds with one application in July. Slightly, and I mean Slightly, discolored the bermudagrass which bounced back in a week. Don't apply in super hot weather unless you're watering regularly or you will fry your bermuda. Best crabgrass killer on the market in my opinion. Good luck!!

Put Drive XLR8 with Prime source duo stick select as directed and worked great on my crab grass. Unfortunately I also had diligrass that it did no work on.

Product states that it can be used on bermuda grasses but unfortunately it's starting to kill my grass but not doing anything to the crabgrass and weeds. I should have known better when it killed my tall fescue as well. I thought maybe I did something wrong, but seeing as how it's doing the same on my bermuda, I'm pretty sure it's this product. Sad, because my yard is so green with multiple patches of dying yellow and brown.

We apologize you did not achieve the intended results. The label does state that Yellow that occurs on bermuda can be reduced by the addition of chelated iron or sprayable soluble nitrogen fertilizer. You also want to avoid applications during spring green up of bermuda as this is when it is most sensitive. I read the description and applied it accordingly. It really didn't work at all. The crabgrass is growing.

When using Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer for crabgrass, it’s best to apply at either the very young stage or the most mature stage of the crabgrass. When treating between the 2-4 tiller stage, repeat application may be required and may not get complete control. You should make your applications while temperatures are between 65 and 85 degrees for best results.

Be careful, this stuff will kill your grass. Said it's safe for bermudagrass, but it's actually killing off my grass and not the crabgrass or other targeted weeds. I wanted this product to work as I tried it on 2 different types of grasses and didn't work on either. Very disappointed with this product. Buyer beware

Drive is labeled safe for bermudagrass when used as directed. The label does state: Yellowing that occurs on bermuda can be reduced by the addition of chelated iron or sprayable soluble nitrogen fertilizer. When treating in the spring, you should avoid any applications during spring green up when the lawn is coming out of dormancy as this is the most sensitive time for bermuda and it could be injured.

First, the instructions give you application rates per 1,000 square feet. I'm doing spot spraying and I need to know ounces per gallon in the sprayer. I guessed to the high side, and hit some large plants. Virtually no impact.

We apologize you did not achieve the intended results. Drive works best on young newly emerged weeds, more mature weeds may require repeat application. Had high hopes from other reviewers that this product would take care of at least some of our weed problems caused by an over abundance (of needed) rain. I paid extra for the kit which included the herbicide, surfactant and indicator die as recommended. Made sure to use the proper amount of each product according to their directions, but the only result after more than two weeks was healthy weeds. The Fox-tails and Johnson Grass are still doing well. So.... I recommend that you save your money and buy something else!

Drive XLR8 can take up to 3-6 weeks to see full results on targeted weeds and a second application may be needed for more established weeds. Keep in mind, for best results, applications should be applied to listed weeds when they are young and actively growing and temperatures are between 65-85 degrees.

I liver in the NE United States. I apply at the recommended concentrations and with MSA. This stuff works better than any other weed killer I've used. And doesn't touch the lawn grass.

This product was compared with another product I have for crab grass on two different sides of my yard, after the first application of both products 29 days later you could see the drive XLR8 side didn't need a 2nd application but the other side of the yard needed a 2nd dose.

This is the best post-emergence crabgrass and nutsedge compound I have ever used. It might take a couple of applications to completely eliminate but with one of DoMyOwn's good pre-emergence materials applied in the fall, this is truly a (grass/sedge) killer of a program.

I bought this because my son in law recommended it. Put it down over a week ago and it seems like some of the crabgrass is turning yellow and some red. A lot has not been affected as of now. I mixed them correctly and it looks like I am going to have to reapply. I will update if I can remember.

Followed directions and after two applications the crabgrass started yellowing. Only problem was that surrounding Bermuda grass also died.

I used this with a one gallon spray bottle along with the recommended surfactant and within 2 weeks the crabgrass is dead, but not the lawn.

Applied Drive XLR8 as directed and crabgrass (lots of it) began dying within 48 hours. Didn't affect the existing grass at all. LOVE this product!!!

Had a mad outbreak of crab grass in my yard about 1/2 acre. Crazy. And being from Canada we have nothing for it so it matured over 4 week period. Got my bottle and sprayed as per directions.....killed it dead ! Works so good I ordered a second bottle for next year.

XLR8 is not my go to for killing crabgrass. I was using Tenacity which also works well but turns the crabgrass white and takes a while to kill them off. The white doesn't look great in the yard. XLR8 works faster and turns the crabgrass a dark green/brownish color that doesn't stand out badly, but they die off quickly and just go away and isn't noticeable like when using Tenacity. I have cool season grasses and it didn't harm them at all. This is my new go-to.

Worked great to kill my crabgrass & didn't kill my Zoysia sod. It did turn the grass a little brown but it bounced back very quickly.
