I put both together, applied on Friday evening and the crabgrass was brown Tuesday evening.

Works excellent. I mixed it with methylated seed oil to cut through the wax coating and had great results. Couldn't get one gallon of mixed product to cover a 1000 sq ft though - more like 500. Targeted just the crabgrass, nothing else - just what I needed!

We sprayed this on our crabgrass and within a week it was brown and dead!!

After trying several selective herbicides to only have the crabgrass turn slightly brown and bounce back, I decided to spend the money for drive xlr8 and the suggested methylated seed oil. After 1 application on a sunny day, I noticed most of the smaller crabgrass was browning within 24 hours. After 3-5 days, most was dead. Some of the larger areas took a second application but at least I have my yard back. 4/5 because of price, but it's worth it.

This stuff totally killed the crabgrass D E A D! However, it didn't do anything else to any of the other weeds in my pitiful Bermuda lawn in Georgia. I do have some Trimec 992 coming to take care of the broadleaf weeds and I also put down some Dimension 2EW for pre-emergent for the fall and I'll reapply the Dimension in probably Februaury before the spring warming and crabgrass seeds and Poa start to sprout again. Drive is the crabgrass slaying product it claims to be.

This killed every blade of crabgrass and left ALL good grass areas perfectly intact. It's effectiveness was incredible.

I used Drive XLR8 and the recommended Dyneamic spreader for crabgrass in Bermuda turf, worked great with no damage to the Bermuda turf.

The product works great. I followed the instructions on the label and the crabgrass started to die 2 days later. I "spot treated" and used 1 oz per gallon in a backpack sprayer and added the recommended amount of the suggested surfactant.

All the information I needed could be found through the Q and A. I made sure to use a surfactant. This nailed the crab grass. It got the clover in my yard as well but it took a while longer to see the effects kick in on it. Just what I was looking for

My yard was being taken over by crabgrass and i seemed to be waisting my money on the normal over the counter chemicals. My initial impression was that the price was high... however I soon realized this is highly concentrated and the cost per acre ended up being the same. I was pleasantly surprised with the results as my crabgrass problem has turned into a brown spot problem (dead crabgrass). Follow the instructions and your good to go.

First time using this. My bermuda lawn was being taken over by crabgrass. Sprayed Drive on it and you could tell it was working the next day. Did have to spray my front yard twice though. That may be because of the severity of the crabgrass though. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it.

I had a lot of crab grass in my lawn and this killed it quickly and completely. Did no damage to lawn. I saw results within 3 days and all was dead within about 7-10 days. Follow directions and the product will perform.

The product works great. A few days after the application the crabgrass was turning brown.

The Drive XLR8 worked worked very well on my thick crabgrass. Will probably give another application next year earlier in the season. It didn't kill what I call crowsfoot or wiregrass depending on who you talk to so I will have to contact them to see if they have a product to take care of that.

So far, it doesn't work. I have spot crabgrass in a Bermuda lawn in Southern California, so I mixed a gallon of herbicide and surfactant. I have spot sprayed the crabgrass 3 times (a week apart) and it looks quite healthy. I may try a heavier concentration than the package recommendation, but would also appreciate any suggestions.

Although I've seen some negative reviews of this product, I have to think the people that made the comments didn't follow the directions or it was not crabgrass they were trying to kill. Be sure and use a surfactant with it. Great service from DoMyOwnPestCntrol.com, too.

I use this with a surfactant. it is expensive but you only use 1.5 oz per gal. The draw back is if you wait (like I did ) till sept or so, the crab grass really takes hold and spreads (south Carolina) so you end up with large dead patches. Its amazing how that stuff spreads. I know the grass will fill back in again. I used amine 400 with it and did not have any bad grass damage. war on weeds and war on crabgrass, it never ends. next year --pre-emergent then touch up with drive earlier than sept.

I have used XLR8 two times. The first time in a 1acre field and also in my yard which has buffalo and fescue grass. The first application worked great. I could see the dead crab and foxtail grasses die off and the buffalo come through. The field was mailnly foxtail so it looked pretty bleak after the foxtail died. I'm going to plant native grass this fall. I could not be happier with this product. Finally I'm getting it under control. I live in the country and have a very large yard so it has been time consuming to keep up with it.

It's hard to tell what the solution is or not doing. I have used this formula before. Crabgrass is hard to get rid of so I use caution. One application did not solve the problem.

This stuff is unbelievable. I have 2 acres of grass. I have battled weeds and crab grass for years. I picked up a 30 gallon sprayer I tow with my lawn tractor. I used Drive XLR8 last year. It killed all the crabgrass and weeds. This year I only had 2 dandy lions..my neighborhood was covered. I did not spray yet this year. Is this a pre-emergent?

We are happy to hear that this product worked well for you. However this is a post emergent so it will only work on what you already have. If you are looking for a pre-emergent too, while Drive is not a pre-emergent, you will often see a reduction in weeds because you eliminated them in the last season and it takes time for them to build back up in some case. It works as it should. I only use it for one application then wait for the grass to take control. It holds down the growth of the weedy grass.

I have applied this to the torpedo grass that has invaded my yard and the torpedo grass is turning yellow. Does NOT appear to be damaging the original Bermuda grass. Too early to know if it will be a total kill on the torpedo grass but am hopeful. Check back in a month.

Drive XLR8 is the only herbicide I have used that actually killed the yellow foxtail in my yard. I am, so far, very pleased with its efficacy.

It worked ok the first try, but not good enough. But, it really worked great to kill crab grass and other weeds when mixed with 2,4,D. If I would have known this I would not have wasted half a gallon and mixed with 2,4,D
