The company I began working for had been using 2, 4-D for years to the point it would not kill anything at the maximum rate. I started using Drive XLR8 and now the turf is clover, dandelion and crabgrass free. My problem now is finding 3 other herbicides that work just as good to put them in rotation.

My notes basically said that I purchased Drive XLR8 from you and wanted to tell you how delighted I am with the results of using it. About 80% of my Bermuda lawn was taken over by Torpedo Grass. I discovered that you sell the Drive product made by BASF and wanted to inform you of the outstanding performance of the product. Should you ever need a reference for it's use I am happy to be that resource. I have also written BASF and thanked them for the product. I am guessing that the purchase of this product saved me more than $3000+ which is what it would have cost to replace my lawn. Thank You!

My crabgrass problem was as bad as it gets. It was not to be a spot spraying, it was going to be a complete spraying of the front lawn. I mixed according to specifications and sprayed the entire lawn. Three days later the only crabgrass is where i missed--a great product! I live in South Carolina where it is hot and humid and rains almost every afternoon, but the product withstood the elements.

It's been almost three weeks since I applied it in my hay meadow. I followed the application instructions. Crab grass is still alive. Not showing any discoloration to be wiltering. I'm not satisfied at this point.

I got this quinclorac-based herbicide after spot testing a different quinclorac-based brand that didn't do much. I applied it to my whole lawn and it sure did knock out the crabgrass on my new Zoysia lawn. Two months now and it hasn't come back. Now to the application rate. Don't exceed the dosage! I put the recommended amount into my 5 gallon pump sprayer to broadcast my lawn entirely. I thought it wouldn't be all THAT bad and in the following 2 weeks the crabgrass died off as expected. All good, right? No way. There a large spots on my lawn where the Zoysia has been either completely killed or totally bleached and dry. I have these brown to gray spots on my Zoysia that don't appear immediately so it leaves you to the false assumption that over application won't harm a healthy lawn. It's really a delayed effect on your lawn if you over spray. I'm hoping that the spot will rebound where it has bleached and/or the Zoysia grow back in over the next year. Else I'll have to re-sod in places. Overall, product works great. Just don't over do it or you'll damage your lawn like it did.

In a matter of a week my entire back yard was taken over. I ordered XLR8 thinking it would cure my problem. I only have a gallon sprayer but that just happen to be about the amount I spray while walking 1000 square feet (or so I thought). I mixed the 1.45 ounces as directed with the seed oil and walked my yard spraying 6 days ago. The crabgrass has tuned a ever so slight yellow, but is still mostly green. I used an areal sf calculator app to break down my lawn into 1000 foot section rectangles and it turns out I needed to mix my gallon tank at least 6 times. I only mixed it 3 times originally. So tomorrow I will give it another try and amend my rating.

I sprayed Drive XLR8 on Sunday, July 9th. Temp was ~78 but clearly heading to the mid 90s that day. I used roughly 2oz per gallon. The change to the crabgrass was obvious by Wednesday morning. The weeds took a nose dive by Friday and were dead by Saturday morning. I took daily pictures hoping to load them here but don't have that option. Drive XLR8 worked extremely well for me.

Drive XLR8 has been effective in combating Torpedo grass and St. Augustine intrusion into my Zoysia lawn. It is the only thing, short of Round-Up, that I have found so far that has been effective against Torpedo without killing everything else. Torpedo grass is HIGHLY resistant to seemingly everything. But for me spot treating with Drive XLR8 hurts it with yellowing and dead stalks within a week and without too much damage to the Zoyzia. There is yellowing to the Zoysia and even death if too much is applied, but the Zoysia usually recovers within a couple of weeks. It's necessary to retreat every two weeks, two or three consecutive treatments, or the Torpedo will recover. But, after the second or third treatment visible Torpedo will be dead. It is probable that you will need to treat again next season as Torpedo has deep underground tubers that will likely send up more shoots until completely killed. Drive XLR8 KILLS ST. AUGUSTINE quickly and thoroughly! This is good if you have Zoysia turf with St. Augustine neighbors.

I applied at the recommended rate and after 10 days it had no effect on the crabgrass. I contacted DoMyOwn and they said it can take 6-8 weeks to see results. If that is true, I do not think this product is good since I expect to see results in 10-14 days.

Usually my go-to weed killer for my lawn is 2,4-D. Good stuff but doesn't kill clover or crab/quack grass. One application of Drive literally knocked the snot out of the crab and quack grass in my yard. The clover? Here today, gone tomorrow! My lawn has never looked better. This will be my one - two punch from now on. Good product, great service & fast shipping. what more could you ask for???

I am a homeowner with a lawn pro friend that told me to give Drive a try. I have tried other products for crabgrass and have been disappointed. I was convinced that the best method was simply pulling the crabgrass out by the roots. Drive performance was almost magic. A week and a half after application, my Bermuda lawn now has hundreds of small bare spots where the crabgrass weeds were once growing and choking out the burmuda. The Burmuda is growing and healthy and starting to fill it in. I have had to follow up with a few more spot treatments due to the heavy crabgrass problem to begin with, but this stuff is awesome. Night and day difference. I used it with a surfactant.

This stuff works great at killing crabgrass. I applied it about a week ago and my Bermuda grass is finally growing over the areas that the crabgrass infested on my lawn. Some areas are still yellow from the weeds dying. I wasted so many years buying the crap at local home improvement stores that never worked granular and liquid I have tried them all in the store.

I have had a yard full of crab grass and tried many other products and Drive knocked the crap out of it in 3 days. I was thrilled with the results and highly recommend. As others stated the mixing formulation is very unclear. I used a 1/2 gallon in a 40 gallon sprayer on an acre and it seemed to be about right. I just ordered a second bottle to do some spot spraying where I missed...Good stuff.

After reading the reviews and most had great results, so I tried it. I bought XLR8 and Methylated Seed Oil. I live in Utah middle of the state, My grass is Kentucky blue grass maybe a little mixture of other grasses because in small areas the grass turned a lighter green, looks to be recovering. I mix 12 Tablespoons to 4 gallons XLR8 and 8oz Methylated Seed Oil, Temperature was about 90deg. Did not water day before and then I sprayed and did not water for 24hrs after. Sprayed August 10th by August 16th all of the crabgrass is dead, as in BROWN. Before that crabgrass seemed to be growing out of control and very healthy. I did see one or two new starts but just pulled them out and for 4 days nothing. This stuff is amazing, I will be using this on my other properties.

This product works great. I didn't know they had anything available to kill crabgrass in a yard. None of the grass was killed and all the crabgrass was eliminated. Highly recommend.

I bought this due to all the reviews stating it killed their crab grass; however after 3 weeks, it did not work for me. It did kill all the other weeds and not my Bermuda grass. Instructions were carefully followed and used MSO also. I even followed up with a concentrated spot spray on the crab grass with no results. I will say i noticed the young crab grass yellowing but the mature crab grass is too resilient which is taking over my lawn. If anybody has other suggestions, please inform me!

Killed large amounts of crabgrass in my yard in a single application. Might have to do some spot spraying but overall works like it should. 15000 sq foot yard took about 1/3 of the bottle using a quad sprayer. So I will have more for next year.

Read the other reviews online and it seemed this was the best option to defeat the crabgrass. I had tried several off the shelf crab grass killers to no avail. My yard was starting to get taken over. I followed the directions and I mixed with Southern Ag Surfactant. By the third day the yellowing was apparent. I am at day 6 now and I can tell it is dying. I just need to hit the spots I missed now.

I mixed 3 tbsp of XLR8 with 1 gallon of water and sprayed to crabgrass area. After 14 days of waiting, crabgrass looks healthy and green. Don't buy this product.

I live in PA and this chemical will kill crabgrass but no broad leaves. I spent a extra 250.00 just to kill them. So if you have crabgrass and broad leaves you should use something else along with crabgrass killer.

Drive XLR8 Herbicide Crabgrass Killer did a pretty good job at killing my crabgrass, but some it did not kill. I will probably have to repeat treatment again.

I've tried tons of things to kill crab grass...none worked. I was so frustrated, and decided to give this product a shot because of the reviews. We'll, IT WORKS! I mixed it with the Duo Stick, like it suggested. I couldn't tell anything for about 3-4 days and was a little worried. But then I started seeing a great effect! It's been a week and the crab brass IS DEAD!!!...without harming the other grass! I'm very pleased...a bit pricey, but so worth it! I'm going to use it again in the spring, then reseed later. Great purchase

I put this on my lawn before leaving for a business trip. When I returned 3 days later, my crabgrass is dead or dying. This is the first product I've used with such great results. Application was very easy using my tow behind tank sprayer and instructions were easy to follow. I highly recommend this product.
