Durvet SandRID is a highly palatable animal feed that helps eliminate sand and dirt from the intestinal tract of horses. Contains psyllium seed husk as its active ingredient which gathers sand and lubricates its passage to prevent sand colic. It causes an increase in bulk in the horse's intestinal tract and prompts peristalsis, lessening the intestinal transit time. It may also be used for constipation due to lack of fiber and to improve stool consistency during watery diarrhea. May be administered as a feed or as a top dress. Provide 1 to 1 1/2 scoops every day for a week to adult horses that weigh 1,000 pounds. For maximum performance, these natural psyllium pellets are ideal to be given for a week monthly as a part of your regular preventive care program.
