Rebuild the gear mechanism twice. First time I believe I stripped the gears because of going too fast. I couldn't tell if the fertilizer was dropping out of unit. After several laps around yard bucket was still full so I figured I was going to slow. Second time fertilizer rusted all the metal pieces after rinsing like manual stated to do. Right now the whole thing is sitting in garage frozen solid Won't move Won't buy again

I have had this unit for 7-8yrs. This is a Light-Duty Residential grade spreader. Nothing pro about it. Capacity is way less than stated, more like 45lbs. Narrow wheel spread, so can tip easy. Not for rough or ATV use. Max speed listed is 7mph. This will work fine for light residential use and will last if not abused respecting its limitations. Treat with Fluid Film
