I have a 1/4 acre of lawn. How many bags of fertilizer will I need?
    A
Each bag will cover up to 5,000 sq ft and if you have 1/4 acre(10,890 sq ft) you will need a total of 3 bags to get the correct coverage rate. This usage rate can vary depending on the type of lawn you have and your target weed. You can check the product label for the exact usage rate for your needs.

  • Asked by Cris from Charleston, Sc

    Q
When can I lay sod after spreading weed and feed?
I bought Ferti-Lome Centipede Weed and Feed 15-0-15 and already spread it. It looks like there may be a couple areas of my yard that may have died through the winter. How long will I have to wait before I could lay sod in those areas?
    A
The Fertilome Centipede Weed and Feed does not have any retrictions on when you can sod after or before application. You should be able to put the sod down now as the weed control in this is a post emergent only so you wont have to worry about disturbing any barriers created in the soil by a pre emergent.

    Q
What is the setting for a Scott's turf builder classic drop spreader using Ferti-Lome Centipede Weed and Feed 15-0-15?
I have a Scott's turf builder classic drop spreader I just bought this weed and feed from you and wanted to know what I should put the setting at
    A

Unfortunately we do not have the spreader settings for that specific combo and the manufacturer does not list that spreader on the Ferti-Lome Centipede Weed and Feed 15-0-15 product label.. Due to the thousands of granules on the market and just as many different types of spreaders, you will want to calibrate your spreader to the product you are using and its application rates. You can see a short video on how to accomplish this below.
