    Will Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control work for violets in the lawn?
    A
    Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control should kill wild violets as it contains 2,4 D active ingredients. Please read the product label before application. Another product that will kill wild violets is Crossbow Herbicide.

    Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control if applied at twice the rate could harm the turf grass. It's imperative you follow the product label closely.

    Will Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control kill crab grass?
    A

    Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control is not labeled for crabgrass control. It will eradicate listed broadleaf weeds only. We do offer products that will prevent and eradicate crabgrass. Please provide your desired turfgrass species and size area for a recommendation.

    Can you apply Ferti-Lome Weed Out Broadleaf Weed Control and Atrazine granules together or should I wait and apply them separately?
    A

    The only way you could apply the Fertilome Weed Out Broadleaf Weed Control with the Atrazine granules would be if they both had the exact same usage rate per 1000 sq/ft so that you could use the same setting on your spreader. Otherwise a separate application would need to be done and make sure you only apply them the same day if there is no competing information on the label regarding timing of application or water in instructions.

    Will Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control kill wild violets?

    Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control will not control wild violets. We recommend using a liquid post-emergent herbicide for this weed since it can be very tough to control. Fertilome Weed Free Zone can be used on ryegrass to control wild violet. You could also use a product with quinclorac, such as Solitare Herbicide.

    Is Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control a Preemergent?
    If this product is a pre-emergent for broadleaf weeds, can I apply at the same time I put down my crabgrass pre-emergent?
    A

     Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control is a selective post-emergent herbicide. Here is a link to some of our Pre Emergent Herbicides we carry. While you can safely apply a pre and a post emergent herbicide the same day, the time of year and soil temps for when a pre emergent would be applied for best results are often not the same times of year a post emergent would be used effectively.

    Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Broadleaf Weed Control is a post emergent that is labeled to control existing burweed.
