    Q
What is the next step to kill lawn full of dandelions after applying Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Plus Lawn Fertilizer 25-0-4?
I put Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Plus Lawn Fertilizer 25-0-4 out 5 days ago and the dandelions are still coming out strong.
    A

Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Plus Lawn Fertilizer 25-0-4 should be applied only twice a year. It will take longer than 5 days to notice results. Most seletive post-emergent herbicides require a minimum of 7-14 days to see changes. Per the product label, a second application is usually required for a heavily inested area of the lawn 30 days after initial treatment.

  • Asked by Joseph from Grand Prairie, Tx

    Q
Need More Weed Control than Fertilizer
Is this the best weed and feed to control weeds? I have already treated my grass with 15-15-15 so its nice and green. However, I put the Pre-Emergent down to late and have weeds all over.
    A
The Ferti-Lome Weed-Out Plus Lawn Fertilizer 25-0-4 would be a great product to use for treatment of the weeds listed on the product label.  If you are looking more for just a weed killer we do carry the Fertilome Weed Out Lawn Weed Killer which has the same herbicide active ingredients without the fertilizer.

    Q
I need a weed and feed for my lawn
I have a mix of cool season ryegrass and fescue and need a weed and feed to deal with dandelions and clover.
    A
In order to recommend a fertilizer for you, we will need to know what your lawn is lacking. We would recommend taking a soil sample to your master gardener to get it tested. Once you know exactly what your soil is lacking, we will be able to make a proper recommendation for you.
