    Q
Does Ferti-Lome Winterizer and Weed Preventer II kill spurge in Zoysia?
We have a Zoysia lawn that got infested with spurge last year. While the Zoysia is dormant now, the spurge "appears dead" but I think it will come back in full force in the Spring. I am looking for a pre-emergent for spurge that will not harm Zoysia.
    A

Ferti-Lome Winterizer and Weed Preventer II For Southern Grasses is labeled for established Zoysia lawns. It is also great for prevention of prostrate spurge, garden spurge and spotted spurge.

    10/23/2021
    Q
Can Ferti-Lome Winterizer and Weed Preventer II 10 - 0 -14 be applied to my centipede lawn with brown spots and dead spots?
    A

We would suggest consulting with your county cooperative extension office for proper identification of the cause of brown spots prior to applying any fertilizer. These spots could be from lawn disease or insects in the soil so a positive id would be best.

The Cooperative Extension Office can also perform soil tests to determine your soil nutrient needs for fertilizing the turf.
