    Q
Should I add a surfactant to Finale?
Does Finale already have a surfactant in it?
    A
To ensure the Finale Herbicide will work as effectively as possible, we recommend adding in a surfactant like Southern Ag Non-ionic Surfactant.  Southern Ag Non Ionic Surfactant is a
wetting agent with 80% non-ionic surfactant for increasing the penetration, coverage and overall effectiveness of almost any herbicide.

    Q
Does Finale Herbicide kill Poison Oak?
If not what is the best brand for that? We also have some large ant mounds, what is the best killer for them?
    A

Yes, you can use Finale Herbicide to kill Poison Oak. You would use a rate of 3 oz. per gallon of water for weeds with height or diameter less than 6 inches, and 4 oz. per gallon of water if weed height or diameter is over 6 inches. For broadcast applications, you would use 4 quarts per Acre for plants less than 8 inches, or 6 quarts per Acre for plants greater than 8 inches. Please see the product label for complete application instructions.

For Fire Ant or other ant mound treatment, our most popular choice is Talstar P. You can view more information about this treatment in our Fire Ant Guide here.

    Q
Does Finale Herbicide kill rosa rugosa?
I use Crossbow successfully but its slow.
    A

Finale Herbicide is not labeled to control rosa rugosa. Due to how specific of a plant it is and since its typically considered desirable, its not going to be found as a tested target pest on most products. Crossbow mixed with something like Roundup QuikPro may help you see faster results.

  • Asked by Stennis from Phoenix
    09/19/2019
    Q
How much Finale do I add to a hundred gallon tank?
    A

Herbicides like Finale are used at a certain amount of product per acre depending on the target weeds you have. You can review page 4 and 5 of the Finale Product Label to see the varying rates based on the target species and choose the one that fits your needs best. On average you will want to use between 40-100 gallons of water per acre; higher water volumes will be needed for thick/dense foliage on the property.
