My indoor dogs sleep with us and i don't think having this residue of the meds on them for a full 7 days is going to work out well. I cant just lock them up for seven days. Can i leave the meds on for a few hours then wash it off? I know what the label say, which isnt alot to be honest.
Happy Jack Sarcoptic Mange Medicine needs to stay on the dogs for the full 7 days or you will not get the full effect from the product. If you wash it off, it will no longer be helpful for dogs. Apply once a day (morning time) this way by nightime, the medicine has had time to absorb fully into the skin. Slower reacting areas may need 2 applcications per day. Using gloves, you are working the treatment into the skin therefore there should not be excessive residue on the dogs coat/fur as the day progresses. If the residue of the medicine is a concern, using a fresh clean towel/blanket each night can help protect the medicine from getting on any bedding, sheets, etc.
