    How much Forbid 4F do I add to a gallon of water for application?
    My book on my bottle of Forbid got wet & unreadable. I just want to make sure I don't burn my garden, thanks.

    Rates for Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide vary depending on the target pests.  Per the product label:

    To treat for Spider mites (including twospotted spider mite, southern red mite, maple spider mite, spruce spider mite, honeylocust spider mite, Euonymus mite, boxwood spider mite, tumid mite and Lewis mite) False spider mites Rust and blister mites (family Eriophyidae) Tarsonemid mites (including broad mites and cyclamen mites) Use  1.4 to 4 fl. oz. (40 - 120 mL)/100 gallons of spray solution or 2 - 6 mL/5 gallons of spray solution

    For Whiteflies: 2 to 4 fl. oz. (60 - 120 mL)/100 gallons of spray solution or 3 - 6 mL/5 gallons of spray solution

    Can you tell me how long Forbid 4F will remain viable once it is mixed with water?
    Sometimes after applying the product I have a little left over. I've heard it has a short "shelf life" once it has been mixed for application?

    Once Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide has been mixed with water, we recommend using all of the mixed solution within 24 hours.  Any solution that has not been used after 24 hours should be discarded.

    How long after spraying Forbid 4F on plants will it take to kill spider mites?
    I sprayed 24 hours ago and just checked and found a few still alive. Do I spray again or wait?
    A

    Forbid 4F is a residual product that will continue to kill insects up to 45 days after application. If heavy insect populations persist, then you can retreat after 14 to 21 days, if needed. Please remember to give the product time to work and do its job and follow label instructions at all times for use rates and retreatment intervals.

    What is the period before re-entry if I use Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide in my garden room?
    After application, how long should one wait before re-entering the room? I want to use this for African violets and other gesneriads. I have used Judo in the past, but I want to try Forbid.

    We advise to wait 1-2 hours until the residual dries, and ventilate the area after applying Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide.

    Does Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide have a translaminar effect like a similar product named Judo?
    Judo has the same 45.2% spiromesifen as Forbid, but Judo says translaminar activity. Does Forbid 4F have the same?

    Yes, Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide features translaminar activity, controlling mites on both sides of leaves, and has activity from egg through adult life stages.

    At what temperature will Forbid burn the plant (Alberta Spruces and Arborvitae Trees)?
    And should I still use Hawkeye Adjutants?

    Forbid 4F should not be applied to plants during temperatures above 85F to prevent burning.  It is recommended to use an a surfactant with the product application following the instructions on the product label.

    Just received my bottle of Forbid 4F and the Mfg. date is 2014: is it expired?

    The Mfg. Date is the date the product was made and does not indicate that the product has expired.  We apologize for any confusion.  A liquid insecticide such as Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide can be condsidered good for up to 3-5 years from the date of purchase if stored at or close to room temperature.

    Application rate of Forbid 4F
    Can you tell me what the application rate would be? I have a 30 gallon spray tank and for spot use, a 2 gal. sprayer. The 30 gallon sprayer with 25 ft. hose I use for yard duty on over 100 trees and shrubs.

    Can I spray Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide on tops of leaves in the morning and bottoms in the evening

    Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide would be best applied to the entire leave surface at one time as good coverage of the foliage is recommended.

    Per the product label, mixers and handlers should wear long sleeved shirts, long pants, and chemical resistant gloves when handling  Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide.

    Is Forbid 4F an abamectin concentrate or does it have a neem oil base?

    Forbid 4F contains Spiromesifen as its active ingredient. We do have a product that contains abamectin called Avid and it is also a miticide. Please click on the following links for more information on the products.

    I need to get rid of whiteflies on my hibiscus in my greenhouse. How much Forbid 4F should I use in my 2 gallon sprayer and how often?
    A

    The Forbid 4F label states to use 2 to 4 fl. oz. (60 - 120 mL)/100 gallons of spray solution or 3-6 ml in 5 gallons of water, applied as needed for whiteflies.  So you would use 0.02 fl oz to 0.04 fl oz per gallon. of water for smaller applications or the 5 gallon rate.

    What protective gear do I need to wear when using Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide?
    what type of protective gear should i wear when using forbid? I was told to use a P95 mask....will a N95 make work?

    Per the product label when using Forbid 4F Ornamental Insecticide Miticide this product one should wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants, chemical resistant gloves and goggles. It does not specify the use of a respirator mask.
