A great Herbicide for grasses
By Harold on 06/06/2011
After early research on Fusilade in the 80s with UCCE in CA for crop use, I (aswell as my friends) now find it useful in my flower garden for selective control of annoying annual and perennial grass in Seattle's wonderful gardening climate. But it doesn't control annual bluegrass or fescues. It has some odor so wear plastic gloves. It takes more than a week to get control, but rest after that week. Proper mix rates
By John on 07/30/2024
Syngenta doesn't give a good, easy to follow directions on their label. Their mix rates are not easy to understand. After looking into this, the Fusilade 2 mix rate rate is .75 fluid oz per gal water, which is 1 1/2 TBS/per gal., and surfactant use is 1/2 fluid oz per gal., or, 1 Tbs/gal. Also, you should wait 10 day's to 2 weeks after applying before cutting your grass. It's best to treat, spray, weeds, bermuda grass, in the spring or fall. It may damage your lawn turf grass if sprayed in the heat of the summer. I normally reseed or over seed my tttf around September 1'st to 15'th. But, I should wait 30 day's after spraying before reseeding my lawn. That backs me up to August 1-15, when it's normally more hotter. So....

Use cautuon!

Early results very promising
By Ed on 09/27/2021
Please read my review on Turflon Ester, it is as complementary with Fusilade II as peanut butter is to jelly. I can highly recommend the cocktail I described. It's not a budget friendly cocktail, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Torpedo Grass Killer
By Paul on 09/30/2022
Have applied Fusilade II twice now to the torpedo grass I had growing in my side yard and it is all turning yellow and appears to be dying, so I guess it is working. Did not realize that it only requires such a small amount, per the instructed ratio to do the job, when mixed with water and the surfacant. I'll have this bottle for years, but hopefully not the weeds!!
Good buy but needs better dilution guidance.
By Bailey on 09/11/2023
Product arrived undamaged. Felt there could have been better instructions as initial dilution guidance (on package) didn't produce results, but the friend who referred us here, gave much stronger dilution advise and that ratio did the trick. Grass is gone after 2nd application with much stronger ratios - means it took more product but other herbicides didn't work so happy this one finally killed it.

Bermuda Grass!
By Kaarl on 09/13/2024
One application of Fusilade II killed Bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon ) along my vegetable garden and rose bed within about 10 days of application. Roses, pumpkins, Phyla nodiflora, Pelargoinium, Acer palmatum were unaffected . I’m glad I found this herbicide. However, sadly, it’s not very effective against ‘giant timber bamboo’ / madame / Phyllostachys bambusoides.

Foxtail begone!
By L on 04/17/2025
Living in California we have horrid foxtails that cause a lot of health problems for pets. This product works amazing, After only 3 days I see a good amount of dead foxtails and am excited to see how it looks at 7 days. I used the 0.5 oz per gallon ratio with a surfactant and called customer service to triple check my dose. Shoutout to Customer Support, she was phenomenal! 1 gallon was enough to cover my 1000 sq ft yard very thoroughly . I was very careful, but still had to spray some ornamentals that were being invaded and they all still look healthy.
