    Will Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate kill green worms on tomato plants?
    A

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate does not contain any type of pesticides that will kill worms; it is just a fungicide. You can use a product like Natural Guard Caterpillar Killer Spray with Bt for tomato hornworm.

    How long after using Daconil on my tomatoes will I notice that the product is working?

    How long is takes a fungicide such as Garden Tech Daconil to work will depend on the overall health of the plants, the disease you are treating, and whether you are trying to correct an existing issue or prevent new problems. You can use Garden Tech Daconil every 7-10 days on tomatoes, per the product label.

    Can Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate be used for commercial use on plants intended for sale?
    I did not see any statements in the data sheet that clearly prohibit it and wanted to make sure.

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate   kills and prevents more than 80 types of plant diseases. It can be used on flowers, vegetables, fruit, and shade trees, and shrubs to control problems such as leaf spots, blights, rust, mildew, and fruit rot, and many others. It does not state that you can or cannot apply the product for commercial resale so we will need more information. Please tell us more about the targeted pest, plant and any other information that will help us locate an appropriate application for your needs.

    Per the manufacturer, Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate should not be tank mixed with any other products.

    Can I apply Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate to the soil before planting tomatoes?

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate should only be applied directly to tomatoes or other fruits, vegetables, trees, and ornamentals. Per the product label, soil applications can result in groundwater contamination.

    Do I need to reapply if I sprayed some garden shrubs with Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate and it rained 40 minutes later?
    Unfortunately there was an unexpected rainstorm about 40 minutes.

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate is best applied when rain is not expected within 24 hours.  If it rained soon after application it would be best to reapply.

    What effect does Garden Tech Daconil have on bees? Is it safe to use when it dries or is it toxic even when dry?

    Garden Tech Daconil does not have any bee precautions listed on the label. Still, we recommend that you avoid doing an application in areas where bees are present or actively foraging and avoid applying to blooms. After the treated area has dried it should be fine for the bees to return.

    Can Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate be used as a systemic for a tree?
    A

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate is not a systemic product.  When treating trees it is sprayed directly to the foliage to the point of runoff. You may want to look at a product like  Fertilome Liquid Systemic Fungicide II. This is a systemic that is applied to the soil instead and soaked up through the roots.

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate is not labeled for use on crape myrtles.   We would recommend using a product like Quali-Pro Propiconazole 14.3 instead.

    When should it be applied?

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide is labeled for needlecast on conifer trees. This is our go to for needlecast.  You should start spraying in spring when new shoots are 1 to 2 inches long. Spray every 3 to 4 weeks until dry weather returns. For Lophodermium Needlecast in Northcentral and Northeastern states: Start spraying in mid-July to early August before disease occurs; spray every 3 to 4 weeks until dry weather returns. Be sure to review the product label page 14 for specific instructions.

    Is Daconil effective in removing lichens from crepe myrtle?
    A

    Garden Tech Daconil Fungicide Concentrate is not specifically labeled for lichen. Lichen is usually a sign that the tree is not able to properly dry out. It is not harmful to trees and it can sometimes be more harmful to trees to attempt to remove it.
