Did not buy from this site however use them in a commercial landscape business. To apply snap shot or other granular material is extremely effective. A lot less fatigue on guys at the end of the day vs using a handheld spreader. Plastic so is indistrcutable for the most part although the clear plastic straw has broke over time,not sure if use or abuse but not an issue over all, use a few with tape on cracked pieces. For SNAPSHOT or similar material is hands down the best. We use the largest hole restricter plate FYI

I bought this spreader thinking I could use it to spread pellets along my fence line. Didn't work, the pellets would clog lengthwise in the feeder hole. About a 1/3 of the pellets were just a shade to long to flow evenly or continuously. Other than that, it appears and is as represented. More like a 10 dollar tool. I think it is overpriced. If it had worked for my application I might have thought it a deal.

We ordered our Gordons Spred - Rite at the end of May and we already need to re-order replacement parts for the green attachments. It works perfect but they wear and tear.

Have used this spreader one time since purchase. I applied 46-0-0 urea/nitrogen granules to my 16, 300' long rows of sweetcorn. Very happy with the ease of use and uniformity of spread. I first saw this product when professional landscapers finished up a recent landscape installation to our recent house expansion project. I was impressed with the ease of use that the operator demonstrated. I just "had to have" one..

Simple, easy to work with compared to smaller handheld spreader. Evenly distributes granules. Easy on the back.

I had been looking for the best method to spread granular pesticide products and neither manual or electrical spreaders gave the desired results, either getting stuck or wasting product. This spreader is the easiest and most efficient for applying granular pesticide products as part of regular maintenance pest control in garden and lawn areas around homes and other structures.

Many many many years ago, my Dad gave me a gravity flow dispenser. He had used it for at least 20 yrs and I have used it for 45 years. The poor thing is covered with tape, holding it together, but I use it constantly and would never consider giving it up. A few months ago, while visiting Seattle, I came upon a landscaper using the spreader. After questioning him, I found where I could order a new one. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Perfect for small areas and small gardens. Comes with various plates to reduce flow. Holds about 6 lbs. of fertilizer. Shaved a few hours a month off my work load.

For those of you worried about the Spred-Rite tipping over and breaking the straw during transport. I cut off the top of a traffic cone at the appropriate height and the Spred-Rite fits snug and secure inside of the cone without worry of tipping over. So for those of you who may have considered passing on this purchase because of potential damage to it. Now you don't have to.
